Yeah. I was debating about that. I thought the grammar was wrong, because it should maybe be "despite HIS being an eloquent speaker". It was too awkward, so I changed back to A after eliminating the other choices.

I got "although"

@numsquat79

the grammatically correct phrase should be "despite HIS being an eloquent..."

rather than vs instead of.... debate

somewhere up in the 200s you need to get commended. it's different for each state, but first to qualify you need about a 220 or better. then they divide into the bottom 2/3, who are commended, and the top 1/3, who become semifinalists.

i said "instead of writing" because "instead of letters" is not as clear as "instead of writing letters"

I wanna kill the 4x4x7 problem........... UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and EFF the last math free response... I put 37.6 at first and for some EFING DUMB REASON i decided to erase the .7 at the end and end up putting 37.. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

take a chill pill powerbomb. i bet you still did great and its a practice sat, and i bet you did well on all the other sections. + its only 1 problem and you don't even lose points

ugh i can't believe i got the abc triangle (a=100, b=1 i think) wrong!! i thought which angle was the greatest .. ugh i was so rushing thru that math.

and i guess i got the prism one wrong .. i said 445 because i knew both width and side decreased by 2, but i don't understand how the length increased?

If you get commended, is that worth putting on your apps?

for the 4x4x7 problem, are you guys sure the base had dotted lines across it too? I thought only the 4 surrounding the base had dotted lines... in which case it would be 4x4x6

the base gets smaller by 1 inch on each side (so it ends up 4x4), but that makes the extensions longer by 1 inch so they go from 6 to 7

I know you guys love my pro paint skills ~_~

(prism explanation btw)

Despite made it sound awkward. The answer should've been although

o.........i got that one wrong then ^... nice drawing skills btw

Wait a second

Doesn't anybody find the sentence "Although far more eloquent a speaker" funny?

"Despite him being a far more eloquent speaker" sounds fine to me.

And also what's the answer to the ABC triangle one?

And also what's the answer to the divisible I,II,III question?

I think the answer was I and II only....

it was II only

nah it was II only

it was II only. 6 is a counter example to I. III i thought was obviously wrong.

it should be despite his... it's a classic grammar question.
