October 2010 CR SAT Thread

@Tvremote: It was undesirable because Passage 1 felt it could be avoided if they chose to rewild instead of current efforts (so therefore it is not inevitable).

@Boston/IFailAtSAT: The paragraph started with “Out of Homer.” I felt it could not be the archaeological evidence because the passage mentioned, along with the archaeological evidence, the other answer choices for that question as well.

@jolly - yes.

For PBS, i put something along the lines of harming the function of america’s democracy or something.

i was torn between the two, but i put practically no one

tvremote: it was undesirable, because he said that there were 2 options, rewilding or continuing conservation.

if continuing conservation (which would lead to all those negative occurrences that were listed) were an option, it would not be inevitable

@coup

Oscar Wilde question was a dancer that was technical but had no emotion.

gov newspaper was analogy.

wat was the undesirable question? I remember putting but cant remember the question

the answer was practically no one

i put for Whom would it offend as practically no one, dunno if it’s right though

What was the inevitable vs. Undesirable question?

@ coupdefoudre
please tell me the question for the answer “phlegmatic”
i can’t remember

@John: I said discerning moviegoers as well based on your reasons.

@Jolly: I said that ‘uniform’ meant “unanimous.”

no oscar wilde was the guy who wrote the biography with fanciful made up details for the sake of a better story

This makes no sense. The fact that Homer started that paragraph is irrelevant to the answer.

i got discerning because she said smart people will appreciate the fraud cuz they understand the intricacies of it or something like that

Wowww i put inevitable because it said “surely” -_- and I got uniform and unanimous as one…

it was not homer it was archaeological

it said verbatim after referencing thucydides that he used archaelogical sources to verify his findings, and MAY have had alternative sources of confirmation (but that they were also almost impossible or unlikely)

No, its not no one. I got discerning moviegoers. So did a lot of people in the earlier pages XD

It people who don’t want to be manipulated

And poo…stupid “surely” threw me off.

Agreed. This one was pretty easy.

the question about phlegmatic was concerning the basset hound that didn’t want to move

Rewilding was inevitable. even tho a bit extreme. author was making an argument that reintroducing exotic species was the only hope.
