October 2010 CR SAT Thread

is there a writing thread??
i wanna know how many “no errors”
there were??

@boston1993 Yes, it was the first sentence of the paragraph

Still unanswered: Critic passage, question had specific names of 2 people?

why wasnt it diffident…aversion

thucydides was not homer…wow

homer was the base for him starting his investigation, sure, but you don’t base something’s credibility on itself. homer =/= homer’s writing being true.

Question with answer choices mollification…credulity and reconciliation…enmity

Does anyone remember the answer to the question about citing cheetahs and elephants?

Is the answer something about extinction?

and it was homer…

Also got genuine.

question about what quote reveals about critic… I put it revealed a character trait, just sounded right for some reason. nothing in the passage mentioned anything about her being humorous.

I didn’t mean they were the same person. I meant he based his writing on the work of Homer

Forget the archaeology/Homer… -1 is still 800 :D

it revealed a strength or a personal talent or whatever

user I got the extinction one for cheetahs. I dont understand that question though. How are cheetahs extinct?

Correct. This one was pretty obvious too.

@woojaekeem i got the same answer.

reconciliation…enmity
homer
retiring…penchant

Belief about the nature of writing??? I got that as an answer I think…

For Kael passage,
primary purpose of last paragraph:
focus opinion by expressing it, or was it something about editing?

I did not put extinction…
It didnt sound like the cheetah’s were extinct yet… they were in danger of being extinct but the answer choice said that they were presently extinct.
