October 2010 CR SAT Thread

dipole… which one was that? I think i might have put ice skater too.

w00t I put balanced.

there was one with something haunted (haunted wasn’t the answer, and I didn’t put that either). I think it was one of those definition reading questions.

benign – (not dangerous to health; not recurrent or progressive (especially of a tumor))

benign, benignant – (pleasant and beneficial in nature or influence; “a benign smile”; “the benign sky”; “the benign influence of pure air”)

benign – (kindness of disposition or manner; “the benign ruler of millions”; “benign intentions”)

No it was passage 1 in comparison to passage 2 lol. Passage 1 was emphatic.

in that case the answer to oscar wilde was “dancer that danced with technical precision but without emotion”

It is like the exact same thing in the passage… -__-

was the air one permeable?

permeate yeah i got that

Does anyone remember the question for illicit?

The answer is an interesting biography that is not completely factual. I believe this was confirmed already.

was sentence completion question about basset hound on an experimental section??
Also, what was the question that had answer choices like ebullience and enmity??
What was the answer for that question??

iFail is that the Oscar Wilde one? I put the dancer one lolol

It would be nice if someone could get a consolidated list going…pretty please :)

It was passage 2 in comparison to passage 1

@ alleviate - you read the question wrong. Passage two was at the end of the question MEANING that it was asking passage one in COMPARISON to 2

btw why did one of the reading sections only have 23 questions? was a bit surprised.

It was something about a museum and how some of the stuff on display was got through thievery and … yeah. That’s as much as I remember.

Here you go, Linger :)

**Short Passages**
-harming the function of america's democracy or something.

-passage 1 was more emphatic

The question asked how passage 1 was different from passage two.
So t he answer is emphatic

i had an experimental reading section yet i dont remember anything about a basset hound…so idk

Yeah I got illicit for the vocab, was that experimental?

okay lets clarify.

the emphatic vs balanced one.

was it asking the tone in passage 1 in comparison to passage two? or the other way around
