antidote:

 1. a remedy that stops or controls the effects of a poison
 2. something that prevents or counteracts injurious or unwanted effects

where in the passage supports antidote?

i still think its stimulant :</p>

@IFAIL I put that the critic’s (forgot her name) writing style was shared by others too (forgot the exact wording)

okay, sorry about that mistake earlier–but balanced was still an answer and precocious was not (even if they were on different problems). The balanced vs. emphatic one should be simple: Author 1 was emphatic, but Author 2 was balanced. the question asked about Author 2.

I had retiring … penchant.
And traversed … wealth.
And slovenly.

circumspect was one…

^circumspect

@jwilliams - the question was asking about the first one in COMPARISON to the second one… lolz.

^ I also had emphatic for one of them.

It was slovenly? Crap, I put casual. What was the one about “I am not accurate - anyone is accurate - blah blah” Which of the following most relates to the quote?

I am pretty sure it was asking about Author 1…

Did you guys get lively and compelling? Or was it vibrant than the previos one?

Prudent?

Resolute?

^ no idea what that one is, which passage was that?

i got vibrant for an answer

Also had circumspect.
And resolute.

For some reason I can’t remember the emphatic question…

I got lively and compelling… i guessed though because I wasnt sure if it was that one or the vibrant one.

Antidote and not stimulant because the passage talks about how going to the log thing helped the narrator’s anger go away (the happiness part came later). Basically like it goes from anger–>i’m okay–>happy. The log, most importantly, is an ANTIDOTE to the anger (makes it dissipate). The log doesn’t STIMULATE anger, it resolves the anger and only later is the means of happiness.

resolute. I think…

what was the answer to the trojan one-
i was stuck between: not possible because no documental evidence and possible because there is no proof its wrong

@shahdin i got resolute and lively/compelling and maybe vibrant

i didn’t get prudent

I did get resolute. I don’ think I got prudent-I guessed ambitious. But Im probably wrong for that one…
