October 2010 - International SAT

maybe a question for passage 1

^ I know that. :slight_smile: I mean, the other answer choices. So far, I’ve got:

 • lack of internal coherency
 • something about belief system
 • something about being manipulated by politicians
 • something about lack of information

What’s the question about?

Is degree extent or stage? Extent didn’t seem right…

could someone post that two inquisition Qs? don’t ring a bell @ all :-(

Hi Guyz :slight_smile:
i am new student
i take SAT last october !!
I have a question on Math !!
i know it was an easy question but i wanna just 2 remeber
i think it was first or seconed question
it was talking about Corresponding angle !!
Can u remeber it ?
Plz help

grid in or multiple choice?

oh my gosh!
is collegeboard amending the curve from the March 2008 test?
because the CR curve is AWFUL! (-5 for 710)!!! OMG!

it was multiple Choice !!
Great News about the curve

WTH !!!
Curve is really bad
CR was difficult :frowning: :(

gotcher, it is Q1 in the last maths section. Answer 70 degrees

I think it was the same measure of angle that was in Given
is that right ? !!

Yes! Congratulations

Thank You :slight_smile: :)

Was there any question whose answer was “Embarrassed of her past”?

College32
I think option D was correct for the Ireland question.

the question was for passage 1 in the first reading section, and I remember that it is about the widow’s feeling about tomatoes, maybe.
by the way, what is option D in the Ireland question?

@college32:

The Ireland one is B(from the options you gave)…when traveling seems just wrong tense wise. It implies that the things have to be done everytime you go to Ireland.

AND I AM 100% SURE THAT SECTION 6 IS THE EXPERIMENTAL WRITING SECTION!

@Unconfidential:
yes the passage 1 had a Question regarding lack of coherency…something like the author of passage 1 thinks that voters have a lack of coherency or something…3rd Q of that passage

@Evanny: Inquisition one was just one Q, Sentence completion: When people talked to Ms. X, she asked so many questions, that they felt they were in an ________ rather than a conversation. (Paraphrased)

@itsmylife: Mariglold one…japanese women

what is the improve passages in “section 2” and “section6”. I got the CR experimental, and the Writing section had the question of “collaberating” and “…until today” and " historians…his/her"

For section 2, the improve passage is about George Washington and the 6’s passage is treasure hunters on the beach right?

To readingace:

First of all, I’m pretty sure the answer should have been foreign. You didn’t read the question carefully: the animal/insect had never been found in that area, indicating that it was a rare or perhaps inappropriate occurrence. To say the organism was “indigenous” indicates it was native and therefore should have been seen in the past as a regular part of the local biotic community.

As for the Japanese woman passage, your argument is correct under the premise that “embarrassment” was the only answer choice indicating a negative sentiment. There was a better answer choice, in this case, along the lines of “had a negative experience in the past”.

This poor sense of logic coming from a self proclaimed “reading ace” is laughable.

To all:
The post where someone copied and pasted the collated answers on page 30-sth contains correct answers for most of the medium and hard questions for CR.
Just to repeat some of its salient points:

 • gross understatement, as opposed to crass exaggeration (dang it)
 • artificial construct, as opposed to tentative hypothesis or theoretical necessity (double dang it)
 • unconventional way to begin a scientific process, as opposed to whatever some put

The curve is atrocious… :(
