October 2011 SAT Reading

@curiousitycrack: I only had 3 critical reading sections - my experimental section was a math section.

There should have been an art article, a nuclear article, a crazy-dormmate article, a professor-gets-fired article and a biography article. Whatever your remaining article/section is is your experimental.

Professor gets fired article? I didn’t have that. Maybe that was your experimental? Or perhaps I am deulsional because it is 1:40 in the morning?

professor gets fired? Huh, i had math experimental and never had that

what was the sentence completion like: genetic factors are not ___. contrarily, variation is a commonplace. ANSWER CHOICES were principle, place, and a few others that didnt seem to fit either

^don’t remember that either. Might be CR experimental

Whaaaat? I had math experimental (four math sections, ew) and I had an article like that.
It was like about how some professor gets a letter saying that he will not be returning next year because he spoke up at a meeting and brought up the school’s problems? No? No? Just me? I am so confused.

yeah reading was my experimental. it had a passsage about a woman’s love for violins and nobody appears to be discussing it.

Its BS how we are in there scrabling our tails off for sections that dont even count. what a waste.

idk silly: Lol definitely never read that. I checked my score sheet at the end and saw i had 24,24,19 filled so i didn’t miss anything

@NeedsHelp: Wait… Now I’m super worried. Cause I had four math sections! Whaaat?

idksilly: Aren’t there multiple versions of the test? Did anyone else discuss that passage so far?

And btw to everyone: I put qualify a claim not account for a phenomenon. Didn’t the question reference a quote and it’s purpose, not the overall purpose of the passage?

@NeedsHelp: I thought the articles were all the same though?

@ tasreep: yeah that was it, it feels like crap knowing that we wasted all that time working on that. and @needs help: i put qualify a clain but we’re severly out numbered

Wait I’m seriously freaking out ahah…

@tasreep oh yeah that brings back terrible memories haha. there was also a question like “what was the significance of the exception to the rule?” and i put “she left it behind” or something like that haha

yeah thats what i remember. i hated that passage though

Wait sorry I’m stupid! The professor one was from a practice test I did last night.

Omg the vocab on the nuclear one.

^lol i think it’s time for you go get some rest. Yeah that’s where I am going.

And apparently there was a shift that took place in the second or third paragraph and it was either “going from broad to detail” or “instrument to performers.” I also remember a violin being compared to a piano and how the piano was just not quite as good lol

@Needshelp1212: I’m super tired ahah. After SAT my friends and I packed p and had a bonfire at the beach. AWAY WITH THE SAT STRESS.

:(
Just need to take it once more and I AM DONE.
