October 2011 SAT Reading

What was the question and in context for the answer “shaping baker’s life?”

Also, what was the sentence completition for the answer “digress?”

@casey: It was something like “The professor liked to _______ but it was okay because her tangents were funny.”

Well it had the same idea as that LOL.

^ so and so had many (digressions), but many people like that part of his speeches the most. (something like that)

@xalex452 My memory’s a bit foggy, but I recall these 3 vocabs. I put apostasy on the on in which the guy, once supportive of it, turns and denounces his company or something.
(2) There was one w/ a lady who travels a lot doing her writing job. I put the answer that started with pet…
(3) can’t remember much, but one answer had eschew.

I thought I bombed cr, now reading this i feel lot more confident

according to the compiled answers I have like a -6 or 7 with 1 omit. What will that give me? 720? 710? Higher than 700?

Assuming you get every other question right thats not posted on this, so probably 680- 690ish

I would go with 690-720

What were the other choices for the sentence completion with the answer “digress”? And what was the “shaping baker’s life” question and in context and answer choices?

There was a question with choices such as jocular and emphasis, or something like that. What was the answer?

^I think emphatic was the answer?

who remember the answer to the first question of the nuclear power
Why do authors use statistics?

do u remember the question of #9

^it was to show that they only were dependent on nuclear power with fair modesty

@dapotatoman Are you sure? That’s what I put. If it’s right, I’ll be very happy :)

By the way, what were the options for the emphatic, jocular question?

How is a -6 or -7 a 680 to 690? If you look at basic curve charts a -7 raw score is around a 730 and has never been below a 700

I know these posts are annoying, but can anyone who is good at guessing curves please tell me if I have any hope at a 1400 M+CR?

Math - skipped 3, missed 3
CR - missed 6-7

Caustic means more like sarcastic, so that doesn’t necessarily fit as well as vehement, which means passionate.
