what was the question about people being “irked” on the blogging passage? #18 or something on the compiled list???

Was there a consensus of whether is execution or handling? and Why?

I vote for caustic Are we still debating on that problem?!

why caustic though?

Execution and management can potentially mean treatment, but that is definitely not their primary meanings (killing and overseeing).

Handling: “the manner of treating or dealing with something; management; treatment”

what was the question about people being “irked” on the blogging passage? #18 or something on the compiled list??

nostalgic, sadly that makes sense ah well, hoping for at most -3…

i vote vehement, since the answer to the other question was “emphatic”, and vehement is a lot closer to that than caustic. caustic seems kind of extreme.

can anyone provide more context to the sentence completion question with “exacerbate?”
i remember filling that in but i dont precisely recall the question

something about the governer deciding not to send funds to the city because of mismanagement

i put vehement too, but after reading this caustic seems just as possible :(

^exactly :(

do you remember the other answer choices to the sentence completion where the answer was about someone being a clever debater?

The question that I’m surprised is not being debated goes something along the lines of:

“What is the main concern of Author 2, in the nuke reading?”

Most are saying to find an energy source with less impact on the environment, but I chose to advocate the expanded use of nuclear energy as a temporary source.

What is the answer here? Even after reading the exact passage on page 50, I still think I’m right.

thank you nostalgicwisdom, i remember now.
can someone recall the context of the question with “ameliorate?”

Cheer up children, it’s vehement. Usually I’m not haughty enough to say I’m definitely right, but those who have argued caustic with me are bringing up really weak points.

Ameliorate- Malcolm X Martin luther King _____ social injustice in distinct ways

I chose to find an energy source with less impact on the environment

the iffy part in your answer choice was the word “temporary”; the passage doesn’t really suggest about the TEMPORARY use of nuclear energy, but rather the full time use of it

For reference. (If anyone would like to show me the vehemence, feel free.)

I completely agree with you NY Mets. I do not know why it is not being debated. I put the same answer as you because the thesis of the second paragraph was basically that we must use nuclear energy since hydro and electric energy is not developed enough and we cannot afford to wait. Since level 5 questions are missed by 80%-90% of students, I’m assuming that all of the kids on this forum got it incorrect. The only way we could be wrong is due to the word “primary” but I still think we’re right. I guess its up to whatever ETS deems as the main concern.

Yeah true…usually though, on CC the majority is correct. Idk why but it usually is that way
