October 2011 SAT Reading

I really think that it sounded more… informative/ researched than anything. haha, this was a silly question.

What do y’all think the curve is gonna be like?
I think i got about 9 wrong…

-3= 800, -10= 700 is what I think it will be, in terms of raw scores. We might even have -4= 800, because I thought this test was way harder than the one I took in May(and had a -4=800 curve)

check out the link neverstopsmiling!

probably around 640-680.

hey was the CR about human space exploration an experimental…?

What is everyone else shooting for?

If the consolidated answers hold, I think I did all right. I’m just praying right now, haha :)

In the 22 critical reading sections that have been released, the passage difficulties were average while the answers were absolutely all about nuances. I say it was def harder than june sat

640??? Damn… that harsh!!!

Yeah, it won’t be that harsh. You’ll have from a 660-690…

Are there any trends? As in are some months always easier and some always harder?

the curve for march of last year was ridiculously good…literally all my friends who took it in march got a 2300+
i wish i took it in march… :(

by -3 do you guys mean 3 questions wrong or like a 64 raw score? If the second option, then 3 wrong would be a -4, right?

What were the two questions (not just the answers) for the Walden Passage?

^yep[evergreen]

1) How would the author view Walden? Human centered
2) Which of these best describes the author’s perspective towards the increased movement of nature writing? Gains and losses

What were the answers to the short passages ABOUT BLOGGING???

Can any of you justify “human centered” with evidence from the text?

You missed the point of the last line. The last line was a reference to the authors forgetting about the human side of the nature. Walden, which defined what should be a genre, was forgotten to a rise in objective, impersonal material.

I missed it too, but I didn’t see the distinction so easily because right in the previous line it said readers are human-centered…so I sent an ambiguity notice to CB that it had too much going on and it was easy to support either human centered or appropriately scientific.

GUYS, WHAT were some of the answers/questions to the two short passages about BLOGGING.

hmm, did any of you remember a question about a new tenant politely, yet firmly ____ her new neighbors efforts to be friendly? i remembered some answers about overture and maneuver, but to be honest, i think that might have been the experimental.

Pretty sure that was experimental; I don’t remember it at all.
