October 2011 SAT Reading

what was the exact answer for irksome

Pencil, what were some other choices? Do you remember?

I’M FREAKING OUTTTTTTT

Does anyone remember the question or the choices for the “explain a phenomenon” question?

Was that like choice A,B, or C? I choose D because I think I skimmed over the humanly center choice.

what was the question for irksome?

^ Something about what does author of passage 2 acknowledge about blogging that the author of passage 1 doesn’t.

Btw, can anyone post the Walden passage again? I can’t seem to find it anymore.

How do you guys think a -7 will fair?

How heavy/weak of a curve do you all expect in CR?

@nhartmann10 i remember one of the choices was “advocate an action” and another was “qualify a claim.” i only remember advocate an action, because i put that as my answer. .__.

QQ

It was “account for a phenomenon.” The author asked a rhetorical question about why people would bother blogging if it’s so difficult. The quote was saying “People blog because they have something to say.” Hence, explaining why people blog when it’s annoying, “accounting for a phenomenon.”

how much do you think this will be:
-4 cr

 • 1 math QQ
 • 1 writing with 11 essay.

@dinnasour 740-760 CR
780 Math
800-790 writing

^ A pretty dang good score. 2300+

ahhahaha, i’m really hoping i didn’t get more than 4 wrong on cr. always been my weakest point. i’m super surprised i made such a careless mistake for the math section. T___T.

I’m almost positive the fleece question about " I just want to get along" correct answer is dedication. He was so dedicated to wanting to get along he ignored his taunts.

^^ no the actual quote was “I wanted to get along”, not “I just want to get along”.

The quote was “I wanted to get along.” I think it’s dedication too. It’s not really disappointment because it doesn’t indicate whether he was successful or not.

This was like a level 1 question…

The author was disappointed that he couldn’t have gotten along with Fleece.

LOL if you put dedication (you are REALLY overthinking it)

I think the quote is disappointment and im hoping it is ^_^

That line doesn’t at all indicate he COULDNT of gotten along with Fleece or even that he CANT get along with fleece.
