<p>I thought “lay” was correct. The infinitive was “lie” and the past tense of “lie” is “lay.” Edit: nevermind, it was in the past participle context.</p>

<p>And for the MAria french question on the very last page the answer was E right? I was thinking “wait A -C are plausible” but then i saw only choice E started with “Maria” and not “maria’s fluency”</p>

<p>^^^^ Agreed. “Had fostered” should have been “has fostered.” If you read the sentence backwards, “when” does not necessarily have to be changed to “that.”</p>

<p>Correct because it saws New Zealand Had Fostered music for Decades, for decades means that it is still happening.</p>
<p>In the context of sentence, had fostered wouldn’t have made since because they would have stopped fostering music when they did something to make music better.</p>
