Were there two different papers? I don’t remember an American System question or one referring to crops :s

I’m pretty sure sugar is correct. I took World History and the vast majority of slaves were imported to cultivate sugar. But I’m not sure if that was before 1750… I do know that the first slaves in North America arrived in 1611 and cultivated tobacco, but the question specifically said Western Hemisphere, which makes me think that the answer is most probably sugar. Slaves imported to Brazil around that time worked either in mines or on sugar plantations. Same with the Caribbean.

What was the answer to the rise of New York?

And the McCulloch v Maryland?

mcculloch v maryland stated that federal power was greater than the state power and that the congress had the right to make banks

the erie canal contributed to the rise in new york

I thought this was a supremely easy US History one.

I took one prep test and saw that exact same quote by Betty Friedan so I was happy.

I wish I could say the same for Math and Lit :p

I thought Lit was a lot easier than the practice tests I had taken, while US History was a lot harder :/

@ZuVieleFragen, perhaps I felt that way only because I didn’t study for Literature and Math at all!

Also the Lit curve seems very imposing, so I’m not sure how that’ll go.

Anyone? Were there two US history papers because I didn’t have on the ‘American System’ or about crops. I had all the other questions mentioned here though…

BTW I’m a UK international.

^I don’t think they would’ve changed just two questions for an international. And for the record, I don’t remember the American System question either. Like at all.

Let’s try to recall MORE questions!

Is the crop question people are referring to the ‘seventeenth century labor system’ question?

Also I remember there being a question about the definition of the first (or second great) awakening. I think the answer was 'religious enthusiasm;.
