YAY!Finally got my scores! Not happy about them but at least now I know them=)

Call Collegeboard, they can tell you

What causes an “exception scoring process”?

I called CB and they said 10-14 business days, before someone would get back to us, not even that he would get his scores by then.

It was my son’s first time taking it, so there’s not an increase in scores. I’m working on the conspiracy theory they want us to pay the expedite fee to get his scores to colleges by the deadline.

Well, here’s my horror story: I didn’t get my SAT scores like I was supposed to. And I need them before Thursday (just getting them today is pushing it) for a scholarship deadline at one of the schools I am definitely considering. (It is, in fact, my safety school, a school that I will most likely get a full scholarship to, and if I don’t get it and I also don’t get scholarships to my reach schools, I’m going to be in a real mess.)

So I called the College Board. I was first connected to some guy (or girl?) who had a very heavy accent. I couldn’t tell what country, but it sounded perhaps Chinese or something. I very calmly told them my situation, and all they could tell me was that I would “be contacted in 3 to 5 business days.” I told him I didn’t have 3 to 5 business days. He told me sorry, ma’am, but that’s all I can do, ma’am. Ma’am ma’am ma’am. I believe he said that about 50 times. And then he hung up.

So I called again. And this time I found out that my scores were being rescored. I asked if I could find out why, so they put on hold, I listened to some obnoxious jazz music, and then was connected to somebody else who told me the same thing- I don’t know. Nobody there seems to know anything. They told me they would send some sort of…now I can’t even think of the word, but it started with an “e”…to the “higher-up” people so they could “investigate” what’s going on with my scores.

Um, if they’re holding my scores, shouldn’t they already know the reason?

I then had to hang up, so I called AGAIN. This time I told them I would not hang up until I got my scores. They said all they could do was electronically contact the “higher-up” people, and that they would put me at the highest priority possible. That means 1-3 BUSINESS DAYS. Tuesday. I told them again that I didn’t have 1-3 business days and that I did not pay them 50 dollars for my whole college admissions to be jeopardized after I’ve spent the past 3 years working my butt off. I asked them why they couldn’t just call the “higher-up” people, and get this-

They don’t have telephone numbers.

No telephone numbers. Really? They honestly expect me to believe that? After an hour and half, I finally gave up and tried to call the college I need to send the scores to. Sadly, their offices closed while I was on the phone with the incompetent College Board people.

This is why I’m glad I never have to take the SAT again. These people obviously have no clue what they’re doing.

My story runs along the same vein. I have been refreshing my CB scores page the entire day. The status of my October score is “Available online,” but the SAT scores page displays the October 2012 test in the “My test registrations” area with a complete status. I checked my CB settings and I did choose “Paper Score Report,” but I looked it up and from what I gather, I should be able to check my scores online, shouldn’t I? What should I do?

Dude same here:

I just want my scores now :(

Phoned a second time to CB just now. Woman in charge told me that it’s due to the volume of the examinees taking this exam, and the earliest I could get my score is tomorrow EST. I pressed for a quicker a more definite solution, and she told me to call back tomorrow if my score’s still ‘Not yet available’. GODDAMNIT!

My daughter got that message 2 years ago. It was because she had a sharp increase in her scores. The College Board wants to make sure you didn’t cheat. The “not available scores” message is therefore a very positive sign, but of course you will be on edge until your scores are released. If I remember correctly it means your total score went up by about 250 points.

Yea it was giving me the same problem also, but it’s working now.

@beecee
I have the “not yet available”

I am hoping for an increase in scores, so if this true, it is a good sign

If you don’t mind, how many days did it take for her to get her score.

You think the SAT test is “just a few dollars”?
You must be one of those spoilt rich PRC kids with well-connected parents we keep hearing about.

Hey the problem is I have neither “not yet available” message nor my score!

@beecee: Hi, how long did your daughter wait until the score come out?

Also, through my investigation some people are stuck with this kind of error in their MySAT page:

Whereas others are stuck with this (me included):

Which category are you guys in?

@zhuziyan its not so good enough but it’s okay for me btw it’s better than ever.

Hey people!
I have the same problem,
Im an egyptian, I took the S.A.T twice last year, Jan & May , & in each month my score was delayed because of some ****ty problems … I was glad that Im not the only one in Egypt whose score was delayed for 3 weeks, I got a very low score in May, even though I expected (300+). But the last exam was really easy & I was really excited about knowing the result … my friends had their scores out … but they had a very low score …
hopefully my score will get out today, Im really nervous & sick of these continuing delays
sincerly too annoyed.

@john9811: yesterday, I stuck with the first picture. Now, I stuck with the second one. I am nearly crazy!

@ShootAjanant congratulations anyway! I still haven’t got my score…:(

Phoned for the third time today. Women over the phone promised to ‘escalate the matter to the scoring department’, but simply refused to give my exact score or tell me the reason for this untimely delay apart from the ‘huge volume’ reason.

@john9811 Did they tell you when you can get your score?
