***October 2016 ACT Thread***

I’ve been preparing a good bit; hopefully 5th time’s the charm!

I have been taking a practice test for each section every day. I really need to get a good score, since I am senior and I really do not want to have to take the test in December.

@speller95 You’re going to be taking the test for the fifth time?

if the ED deadline is 11.1, can the October act score arrive in time for review? (For Johns Hopkins)
helppp :stuck_out_tongue:

Besides, what is the fastest way of delivering ACT score? (I only know about CB but not ACT delivery policy so… any advice?)

check with the college to see whether they accept October ACT score…

That’s correct! @joewantstoknow

Are colleges willing to accept scores received after application submission? I want to take the December test if possible.

@speller95 I’m taking the ACT for the 5th time too!!

Any advice for someone struggling with time?

I’m taking the ACT for the 4th time this weekend.

@roseamethyst Good Luck! The 4th time was the charm for me! I jumped up 6 points to a 32!

guys what new stuff should we focus on in math?

A Note on Standardized Test Dates

Although we cannot guarantee that November (ED) or January (RD) scores will arrive before the Admissions Committee evaluation, past experience suggests that scores taken on these dates usually arrive in time.

We strongly recommend that Early Decision candidates complete their required standardized tests no later than October of their senior year. Regular Decision candidates should complete required tests no later than December of their senior year.

November (ED) or January (RD) scores will be accepted for those students unable to meet their test requirements by October (ED) or December (RD). In such cases, we encourage you to note your intention of taking the later standardized test(s) on your application. There is no need to rush your scores.

@JPGator98 any tips?!

@ZBlue17 obviously practice is the key. Practice, Practice, Practice! Carefully work each section and understand why you’re missing the questions you are, re-work them until you know why, etc. They key is do not stress and take as many practice tests as you can!

@JPGator98 how many full tests would you say you took for the big increase?

I took around 15 between April and September @ZBlue17

I’m taking mine for the 3rd time tomorrow

Hopefully third time is the charm for D.

Good luck to all of tomorrow’s test takers
