October 4th SAT II's: Will this conflict with Nov. 1st ED deadline?

I've taken the ACT (received a 30, will take in September and try for a 32-34), but I know that collegeboard is slow in comparison when it comes to getting scores back to students.

Now, I planned on taking two Subject Tests (Biology & Spanish or Biology & History---idk if it'd be World or US yet).

Would I receive my results in time for the ED deadline?

By the way, I know I can send my scores for the SAT II's for ED I, but I'm wondering if I'd be able to see them FIRST in order to decide whether or not to send the scores.

i think you should be fine. scores should be in by late October. you just won't get 4 free schools to pick. $9.50 each. go for it.

World History is only given twice a year - June and December.

Thanks for the heads up.

Yea, you'll be fine, and a few schools even allow the Nov. 1 test date. Just be sure to check the school website or call the admissions office.

October is fine, even if you want to see the scores before sending. Last year, we found that almost every school said NOT to rush scores for EA. Rush scores are sent by hard copy and actually take longer to get to the schools than via a regular request, which is sent electronically and can be downloaded by the school within a couple of days. No need to give CB any more money than they already demand.

MIT had my S's physics score the same day the scores were released. (It was one of his freebies.) We sent scores (NOT rushed) to another school after EA came out and they had them within a week.

is chemistry given in october?

SAT Subject Test Calendar

^^Chart with all SAT Subject Tests and when they are given.

Can I take two SAT II's in one sitting?

Nvm. I just read we could take 3 in one sitting.

You can take 3.

Where are you applying ED? The school's website will say whether it accepts October SAT IIs for ED.

And if you "haven't decided yet", it means you don't have a clear enough first choice to apply anywhere for binding ED.

Vanderbilt.
