October SAT Curve Math

Trying to figure out the curve for the October SAT, now that score reports are out.

Post your score and your raw score.

Me: 800 54 raw score

750 , 52 Correct & 2 Incorrect

670, 46 correct, 7 wrong, 2 omitted

730, 51 correct, 3 wrong

780, 1 wrong

So for math we’re looking at

800
780
750
740
730

720 51 correct 3 wrong 0 omit

would the 10 point difference with anxious2017 be the type of questions my daughter missed?

@mamabear - yes, anxious most likely got 2 MC and 1 SPR wrong. Here’s my conversion:

730:
51 right
2 MC wrong
1 SPR wrong

First time I heard that the scaled score is different based on how many Multiple Choice (MC’s) you got wrong and how many Student Produced Responses (SPR’s) (Fill Ins) you got wrong. All this time, I thought that they both counted the same.

^There is no penalty for wrong answers on the grid-ins, unlike the MC.

My estimate of the US October math curve is: 800-780-750-730-720.

(Note that internationals will have a different curve, generally, so for accuracy people should identify as such.)

Likewise. Terribly surprised though. Math is normally my best section… but at least the curve wasn’t too harsh.

Did anyone get a 700 flat? I personally got -5 and a 690 with 0 omit. Though I am confident I got a bubble in answer wrong (the 3600 one).

700 flat with 4 wrong and 1 omit

My sister got a 700 flat with 4 wrong and 1 omit too.

700 score, 49 correct, 2 incorrect, 3 omitted

Cortana, I am new here and this was my first SAT. Can you please explain the curve?

■■■■ ONE QUESTION away from 700 math. I was laughing during the math section so that screwed me up.

Got 4 wrong and 2 omit for a 680.
