Hi, this is a slightly strange question but id really appreciate an answer. Im freaking out a little because i keep thinking i didnt complete the test or left the last passage. Was the last passage the meditation over a broomstick one?

also, in the first passage, does anyone remember the very first answer, like what is this passage about, social satire, gritty realism etc?

I believe I put down social satire, and I think the broomstick one was the last
stops sweating uncontrollably

right i put down social satire as well. Ah well thats a relief. also, i think for the question calcal is referring to i put down resolute or determined or something to that effect, but cant remember clearly

in the poem about the earth changing, what did you put down for the last question, what the poets opinion was basically

I think it was ironic hyperbole. I remember it referenced how it called their guests “friends of their souls” or something, which seems very ironic and exaggerated to me. Don’t know how that’s a telling metaphor.

What did you guys say for what the title “Meditation on a Broomstick” meant in the context of the poem? I think I put contrasting a serious task with a lower subject or something along that line.

yup, i put that too

Does anyone remember that question from the aunt essie passage, i think it was one of the last ones or the last, the passage represents initially a challenge of wills and then reconciliation or something like that, forgot the other choices.

@kgs1234 I put reconciliation

I did too! thanks

I might have put the challenge and response to challenge one

@slights32 what score are you expecting? I’m hoping for a 720 or higher (which strangely is a good percentile for SAT Lit)

As long as I get 700+, I don’t really care (although an 800 would be nice…). I’m a future English major so if I do awfully on this, it’ll just be kind of pathetic… I got a 790 on math II so I don’t want to awkwardly get a score like 100 points lower on lit haha

honestly, I’m hoping for 750+, I think though more likely it’ll be like 720?

So, I was going to take Math II yesterday, but then got nervous and switched because I thought lit would be easier… let’s see how the scoring comes out!

how much does it matter if you leave a few questions blank? I don’t really know the curve but I probably didn’t answer like four or five questions, yet felt confident regarding the rest of the test.

i remember the college board book said -4 is still an 8 hunnid

ive heard minus 2 is the most you can get to still can get an 800

Not gonna lie…I took this test in december of last year and it was the same exact test. Like, story by story, question by question. Go to the December 2013 sat lit thread if u dont believe me.

@underbiz101 what scares me is the people who got most of the answers on the thread correct got 600s.
