Ha, I know what you mean. I usually just solve the problem and the answer is just there. If it isn’t.. I freak.

If you plugged in .6666666664, it would be 3.

and technicially, .6666666664 is less than 2/3 :P

Ren, he made a new account.
I never asked him what it was though.

msg me if you want his AIM

Well you guys are all making me feel better. I’ve had a lot of the same answers you guys did on some of the tougher problems, so I’m pretty confident about it. I’m hoping for like a 600 on it…

I know this has probably been covered completely, but I thought the elevator Q was 110 (or whatever it was) not 80… It said the total distance covered, so I counted the feet up and down… and I got 3 stops.

^u’re right on the counting ft up and down, it’s 80. i counted from left to right, then right to left, wrote the numbers 2x, im 99.9% sure its 80 XD

How’d you get 110?
Did you use the x axis? o_O

what was the answer for 33 people making teams.. was it 11 or 16

Ren, i am 100% sure it was 80 as well

you would have gotten 110 if you had counted throughout the entire graph
however, the q only asked for a certain interval 2:00-2:02 (or 120 secs)

it was 11

…

anhtimmy- Nope, I just counted the total number of feet it went up and down on the y-axis… but considering everyone here says it’s 80, it’s probably 80 =(

And I got 11 on the team one.

it was 11.
it asked for maximum same # of teams with the same amount of people.
33/2 = 15.5 nope
33/3= 11 yep.

the topping question, i believe, is 12. it asked for combination. u had 6 choices of something and 2 choices of something else. so the combination would be 6x2=12. I got a 15 first, but i actually did it again to make sure. I believe it is 12.

You must have miscounted.
o_o
what I don’t understand is where you got the extra 30 from.
Did you count past 120 secs?

It specifically asked for different one, meaning a combination.
6c2=15
OHHH the 120 secs one was 80 feet? YES

StrangeIndianFoo, that’s what I did. I forgot to take the time interval into account. Ugh.

PennDreamer, wrong, it’s 15. u can do the slow method,6+5+4+3+2+1 or
6 Cn 2 = 15

why is everyone getting 16 for the team one?? wat was so hard about it ? =/ its only #9 grid in..its a free giveaway

^ for the last time

its 11!!!1

whats the numbers with the clay one? can anyone help?

that’s 8 ^ the spheral clay

How is it 11? The max # teams with the same amount of people is 16–16 teams of 2, with one left over. Why would it be 11 teams if you can make 16? Unless the question said nobody could be left over.

Considering it was a #9, which should be the 2nd-easiest question in the section, it’s crazy that there’s so much debate over it.
