I am a rising senior and because of my poor performance on the ACT (30), I will be retaking it in September. However, I am also preparing for the October SAT. If I get my goal score on the ACT (34), I will not even bother submitting the SAT score. In the event that I do poorly on the ACT, will there be time for me to view my SAT score before sending it to college? I want to apply early action to most of my schools and fear that I won’t be able to view my SAT score before sending it as scores will come out after the deadline. Has anybody experienced this issue?
You probably won’t have time to view your scores on the SAT before sending them. Most EA schools indicate that if you are taking a late SAT, use your free score reports before taking the test to send your scores so that the school gets them in time to consider them for your application.
If you don’t have your desired SAT/ACT score, you probably should wait until RD to apply (unless there are specific merit aid opportunities that require you to apply EA).
Well that’s a bummer. Now I have to reevaluate all of my college decisions
