October SAT scores to UChicago by EA deadline?

I'm going to retake the SAT in october.. is it possible to send in my new scores before the deadline on nov 1st? or will i not make it and should just send my old scores?

Also, do SAT score reports contain the scores from ALL the tests you ever took?

October scores will make it by EA deadline.

Even the November scores will, I think.

what about my second question?

Only scores of the tests you took before or on the test date you choose to send your score report of.

Well i took the SAT once in June.. the scores from that test date will also be present on my score report, correct?

definitely

too bad you can't pick which score you want to send. :( more's the pity.

but most schools claim to only look at your highest score anyway

And if you have major concerns, be aware that UChicago does consider highest scores and the order of importance followed by UC for admission is: highest: grades and course difficulty; next most important: essays and EC's and personal attributes; (c) of lesser importance: SAT or ACT score. The October test is accepted for EA; the November is not.

If you can afford it, consider spending the $26 on rush reporting if it is critical to get scores to Chicago by Nov. 1 from the October sitting. The reason: for every sitting of the new SAT there have been some tests that have delayed scoring due to needing a second reading for the essay. The College Board does not make a point of telling people this but some tests can take up to six weeks to score and report. On the off chance that your test falls into this category, it would not be at UChicago by November 1.
