Does anyone know the names of some of the poems that were on the test? The one about the man imagining a woman in the country would be especially helpful.

^ I know it was by Pope, forget the name.

haha so either the curve was insanely good or some of our discussed answers are wrong....790!

hope all of you did really well!

740... Positively surprised as well!

710 for me.

10chars

720, it was expected though. :/

^ HEY! 720 IS NOT A BAD SCORE!!!! Lots of kids in the nation would kill for a 720. It's an awesome score! :)

soo..guys.. should i take lit or not this november? i've registered for it. but i got btwn 620 and 700 on the princeton SAT 2 practice tests. take it or not take it? i mean, lit looks hard, with all the poetry and stuff like that.

660!
I am quite happy: I've never seen the test before, real or prep version, and I've never read any poetry in English. I am considering catching up.

800!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By far the 800 I'm most proud of...I took like 16 practice tests rofl

nice job everyone :)

i got a 650.
i am disappointed but i am happy because I know that a 650 will not completely wreck my application.

hopefully my 2170 sat and 730 us history and 630 biology and legacy preference will make up for it...

@ wildchartermage: I took the PR practice tests - got low 700s on them but an 800 on the real thing.

You CAN study for the test, but it's a lot of work, and you have to be a good reader (750+ on CR)

I don't agree really with "(750+ on CR)" - I am a foreigner and thus found the CR much more difficult than the Lit test - 710 CR and 780 Lit...

^ Did you have a lot of trouble on the vocab questions in CR? That could explain why you did much better in Lit

710 which I am very proud of because I took cold. I just started AP Eng Lang this year, so I didn't know a lot of the terms on the test. I think I could have gotten around 730 if I prepared. I was expecting around a 650 or so.

640 CR and 710 on Eng Lit

Vocab kills!

730...very happy (got a 690 first time)

I didn't actually, quite the opposite - I learned the whole Gruber's list :D I think it was rather the seeming ambiguity of some questions, possibly caused by the nuances I still cannot feel, as English is not my maternal language...

720, not bad, I got a 36 on ACT reading, but this was a whole other ballpark.

yeah act raeding section is easier

I got a 740 and am definitely thrilled.

I think comparing Lit to the CR on SAT is somewhat relevant. I got an 800 in CR, but I sorta lucked out with the vocab. Other than the vocab, the two tests are fairly similar. The easiest Lit questions are like medium-hard CR questions, but there really aren't that many that are superhard either....so I know that I used a Kaplan book, and took like 4 practice tests, with the average being around 740, so I can attest to their value.
