odd transfer situation

Okay I'm trying to trying to transfer to a school that usually requires about a 3.0-3.2 GPA (Purdue University) to get into if you're applying straight out of high school. I had about a 2.5 in high school so i did not get in, but I did get into another decent university.

However, I did not start at the university until the spring semester after my senior year because i went into the navy reserves and had to go through training from july-december.

I started at the university I got into in January and got a 3.50 GPA with a 15 credit hour schedule that included Biology 112, anthropology 100, econ 100, english 107, and university studies 101...not the hardest classes in the world but still respectable

My question is how likely is the university to accept me with only 15 credit hours and a a high school gpa that was not good enough to get me in alone? I'm asking because i hear a lot of schools need 26 credit hours to transfer without high school transcript. and would they be more likely to accept me because its for the fall semester rather than spring?

i know these questions grow old but if anyone has had any experience or knows anything about this it would be great! the wait is killing me

i highly doubt it since most university need 60 units (semseter)

If you are applying after 1 semester (if u are even allowed to) then they will likely look heavily upon your HS statistics, which were obviously less than desirable. You will probably have to wait until next year to have a good shot of getting in (almost sure thing if u maintain GPA). Of course it also matters what college u currently attend and what major you are.

well im just trying to get in as non-preference for now, which says you only need a 2.2 - 2.7 college gpa and it doesnt really say anything about the minimum hour requirement on the site really

and it says this

**Applicants in their first semester of college may be admitted as transfer students based on their high school academic record, pending successful completion of their first college semester coursework. Otherwise, transfer applicants are expected to have completed a minimum of 12 college-level credits (developmental and/or remedial coursework does not apply) and must satisfy criteria including GPA expectations in college-level coursework and program-specific prerequisites, grade requirements, etc.
