You left out quite a few detials. What exactly does A- average mean. Grading scales are different in a lot of high schools. What is the weighted and unweighted GPA? Is your kid a senior? You pointed out a 36 in English ACT. That’s not a factor. They look at composite mainly. A 31 is very good but on the low end for Cornell. Has he visited Cornell? How are you demonstrating interest? How rigorous is his coursework? That is probably the #1 determining factor - from what I have been told directly from Cornell. Is he taking as many APs as possible and acing them?
