Off-Campus housing for UCLA?

Does anyone know off campus apartments or shared houses where the rent is low (around 600-800). Its way too expensive on campus :S

Hi! I’m also looking for an apartment that is very nice, safe, but inexpensive. Anyone have ideas?

You could try checking out [UCLA CHO](http://www.cho.ucla.edu)! Or just google different apartments around Westwood.

Use the UCLA housing website. What ever you do…stay away from 512 Veteran Ave. I had an extremely bad experience there.

Palms, you can find shared rooms for even less than 600. South of Wilshire (between Wilshire and Santa Monica) you can sometimes find your own room for about 800.

You can try the Coop on 500 Landfair Ave, the rent is around 500 per month including food.

^ actually IMO stay away from the UCLA coop.

I remember reading some threads really bad horror stories there on this forum…do a search if you don’t believe me.

cheapest deals are south of wilshire, but there are of course 600ish rents around campus too. you could even try splitting an aparetment with 5 people to cut costs…but make sure you get somewhere big because 5 people can get crowded.

Back when I was a student, the most efficient living arrangement I found was three people in a one-bedroom apartment.

I’m trying to find a place to stay for summer session A. Any ideas how I should do my search?

Hey everyone, I have a place open on the cheap (550) at a great place at Midvale Plaza 540. Unfortunately, it’s only open to guys, but if anyone is looking for housing, text me at (510)-579-9435. We have two spots open (I think), but one spot open for sure. Hurry!

How much more expensive is on-campus housing, and how far is off-campus housing?
