off campus interview?

Has anyone heard anything about having an off campus interview? I put in the interview request before the RD deadline for it, but haven't heard back. What time frame would Rice be scheduling these for RD applicants? When do they get back to you about it?

i heard back in about two days and i live in portland,or

I'm out of state, and they never got back to me. I even called them, and still nothing.

i just came back from my interview today actually.

Try emailing them, or call again. They may be a tad bit busy getting the ED decisions done.

me too....i just kinda gave up trying...

I would definitely call them if you have not heard back by now.

Well, I applied ED, so I'm pretty sure it's way too late now.

Followup: Got the interview after a phone call out of the blue. It was on short notice on a Sunday afternoon before finals week during a power outage with icy roads at the alum's house. Went pretty well otherwise.

yeah, I called after not hearing back 2 weeks and after another week, an alum contacted me.

Interviews are offered to seniors and rising seniors only and are not offered for transfer applicants. It is your responsibility to request an interview by the posted deadlines below if you wish to have one.

Decision plan Interview requested by Application deadline
Early:October 1, 2007 November 1, 2007
Regular:December 1, 2007 January 2, 2008*

note the wording "seniors and rising seniors only

I heard from my interviewer withing 3 days or so...

Did you get the confirmation email? It's too late to request one now...

i have one tomorow....do i have to get anything ready?

My interviewer asked me to bring along a resume, but I think that was his thing. I would suggest, though, that you make a note of anything you want to ask him/her, because I came up with all these questions almost immediately after the interviewer, and hated myself for not asking them during it.

I brought a resume to my interview, and dressed very formal (suit and everything). Plan ahead, but make sure you make the interview more of a "conversation". Definitely don't rehearse anything; just go over what you want to get across and what questions you have.
Good luck!

I had to call the admissions office three separate times to get them to process my request for an interview. It ended up taking about three weeks (I'm out of state). Just keep calling and they will do it.
