I submitted a request for an off-campus interview at the beginning of this month, but I still haven't been contacted yet. Is this a normal time-frame, or should I call Rice to ask about my request? I assume they're very busy and all, but it's worrying me a little bit.

It took the almost a month to contact me about an interview. They have more applicants for interviews than they have interviewers, so just be patient and your turn will come

I applied for an on-campus interview, but I got a reply almost the next day.

You should call them, but AFTER the early decision results are released. The admissions office is likely overwhelmed with work right now.

Alright, thanks a lot guys!

I am waiting for off campus interview too. Did you find out anything ?

Do you think that an interview can help the application case at Rice ?

My understanding is that Rice tracks your interest - campus visits, interviews - so i think interview can help the application

If I applied for an interview shortly before (my school’s) winter break, should I just assume that I haven’t heard back due to ED/winter break/lots of activity in the office? At what point would you recommend an email?
