Are juniors and seniors supposed to live off campus? And when can sophomores start applying for it?

Well I believe ucsd has a policy of ensuring that the first two years student get housing, so they are given priority but I believe that some juniors and seniors get to live on campus.

I am not sure what you mean by the second question. Off campus housing are off campus so the school should have no jurisdiction. As far as I know, you don’t register with the school O_o.

edit: actually. ucsd apparently has a website (http://commuterlistings.ucsd.edu) that helps you look for a place off campus. but other than that, I don’t think you “apply” for it. It’s pretty much looking for your own place to live. Just remember to NOT renew your housing contract with the school if you plan to live off-campus.

useful information: http://students.ucsd.edu/campus-services/parking-and-transportation/commuting/commuter-student-services/

OK, so I just need to find the landlord myself and do the paperwork with them?
I’m a current sophomore deciding whether to live on or off campus next year.
