Offcial 2012 AP US Government and Politics Thread

That was much easier than I expected. Probably Got 4 or 5 probably. Most likely 4 because of the frqs.

Personally I thought the FRQ were difficult…but then again we spent our entire class time dedicated to MC, which I think I did excellent at.

Damnit I had no clue what “caseworking” meant. I thought it involved dealing with people proposing legislation. My answer kinda touched on it though.

Otherwise it was quite easy. I just hope I don’t get knocked points for picking the most obvious answers.

Probably only missed 5-8 MC though

I totally talked about supreme court cases for that one lol. I thought the mc wasn’t too bad, there were a few that I know I missed but I definitely thought the fr was a lot hard. I hope I made the cut for a three–considering the fact that the curve is probably going to suck

I was the only person in my school to take it, since I “self studied” (all yesterday). Nevertheless, I thought it was pretty easy. I’m a political junkie though, so I’m probably an outlier.

It was short, i finished in 2 1/2 hr. I’m not confident I’ll get a 5 though, since curve is really harsh

The MC were so freaking easy! There were like 3 I wasn’t 100% on. Most of the FRQ were pretty easy except for one part of one which I couldn’t for the life of me remember!

isn’t casework the cases of the constituents that their representatives and senators take on?

I put that casework is when members of congress respond to letters about their constituents’ concerns and stuff so because of all the casework, they are more aware and are more inclined to try and do legislative things that would benefit the people they serve. not sure if I was correct though

Ya that’s along the lines of what I put. Btw congrats on going to Michigan. I’m Michigan fan but going to Ohio(OSU) due to financial reasons.

My teacher didn’t prepare us at all for the AP test. It kinda sucked, especially with the FRQ’s, since I had no idea what to expect. Then again, I probably should have studied more.

The MC’s were soooo easy. I was really surprised. I probably got around 2-3 wrong.

Now the FRQ’s… I’m pretty sure I totally bombed them (probably around half right–the rest were kind of “vague” answers that were sort of right and sort of wrong… or they were completely wrong). My score depends on whether or not the AP graders are in a good mood and decide to give me a lot of partial credit. :D

My teacher didn’t even know what they meant by casework. Besides that, I thought it was pretty easy. Oddly heavy on pluralism questions.

I thought the exam was really easy–definitely got a five. What’s funny is that my teacher has a 7% pass rate, so everyone and their brother decided to a) sleep or b) draw. I mean it wasn’t /that/ hard guys

I also thought this was super easy and I’m glad for having such a great teacher prepare me for it, but tomorrow will be a whole another story.

FDRs court packing was a bust and did not expand executive power.

If you get put an incorrect answr for a frq, then put a correct one…do you still get the point?

^it depends… Graders are taught to look for the correct answer. A lot of times they’ll ignore wrong things, but it obviously depends on a lot of things…don’t lose your hopes tho

Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using CC

^ if you labeled your answers 1a: 1b: then you can’t. but you if you just labeled 1: and wrote your answers, as long as your correct answer is in there, they should credit you for it.

That was really easy… By the way, guys, casework is cutting through the bureaucratic red tape to get people what they think they deserve. It goes hand in hand with pork barrel and is how legislators serve the interests of their constituents.

KSJFL:SDFKJSDLF I AM SO ANGRY THEY DID NOT ASK ABOUT ONE SINGLE COURT CASE!!! AFTER I STUDIED ALL OF THEM!!!

Ftwpker, I’m going to osu for financial reasons tool!!!

yay are you dorming?
