Offers yet?

Kaitlin indicated that the students would hear between now and March 1st. I imagine they have to “sort” now that the last audition weekend is complete. We were very impressed to learn about the Parent FB Group. So comforting to us potentially “far away” parents. Good luck all~

Can any of the Texas State moms give us an idea of how many Priority Holds have been given in previous years? I would imagine with all the talented kids out there its a high #?!

Thanks for the suggestion theatremomma. I just posted to the Final Decision thread and hope it gets filled with lots of happy news really soon!

I’m really not sure about the “priority hold” list. Last year, offers were made and some were placed on the hold list. Last year, Kaitlin initially said she would accept 12 incoming freshmen, 6 girls and 6 boys. We ended up with 9 girls and 5 boys for a total of 14. Thank God my daughter was one of the girls selected and this program has been unbelievable! Good luck to everyone!!!

Kaitlin has been making calls today!

Best of luck to everyone in this stressful but very exciting time!!!

Remember to keep B R E A T H I N G . . .

I knooooowww! Heard from a fellow anxious mom! So happy for her family, but now we wait…some more!

Please post if you heard anything… we are anxiously awaiting!

I do know that calls will be made through the week.

Do we know how many offers went out so far?

I do not.

Congratulations to your S, tcork128. I think our kids have the same audition coach. She speaks of him fondly. You must be so proud. Congratulations!!! My D is a junior. We are just starting process and REALLY appreciate all posts on CC about it. learned SO much! Best wishes for fabulous college experience!.

Thank you for the kind words addicted2MT!! We began reading CC posts a few years ago and all the wonderful parents and students were so helpful and supportive. I plan on posting more now and if I can be of any help to you please let me know. Moo has my number lol! We are very proud of both our MT sons and are cheering on all the CC kids who we are sure will find their perfect MT program.

Have all of the spots been given up? We are anxiously awaiting hearing about my S. Does anyone know is Kaitlin has filled all 12 spots?

I think there’s a whole bunch of us nervously waiting like you tylerjohn! (Daughter is keeping it together but I confess to checking CC 2-3 times per day.) I am not aware of any other offers made/accepted other than the 2 posted on CC; although it is entirely possible. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that deliberations are still being made as we wait. Kaitlin’s notification date was by March 1, so we have some time to kill. Breathe in. Breathe out.

Keep in mind that some of the kids that will get accepted to TSA may also be waiting to hear from other top schools before they make their final selections. Therefore, while K may have made all of her initial offers, there will most probably be secondary offers depending on acceptances by students. Afterall, logic suggests that the best of the best will get more, rather than less offers. Lucky for the rest, they only accept one school! Keep the Faith!

I’m hearing 7 offers have been made…I don’t know if there is truth behind this or not…hoping for NOT

Eek! Alright we are trying to keep calm, well we’re happy for everyone that got in!

There can still be 7 spots left so stay positive!

It really doesn’t matter how many offers there are at this point. It matters how many acceptances there are. And this could go until May. If they gave out 50 offers that were not accepted and you are #51, Great! The first acceptance is treated just like the last acceptance at this school. They are all equal. In is in. It doesn’t matter what number you are if you are still on Hold. And right now the class has 2.

More offers today, but a no to The D. Oh well, moving on to the remaining schools.
