So sorry GSOMTMom…always difficult. I truly believe that people end up where they’re supposed to be. The rest of it is wrestling with our own expectations. I’m a yoga teacher and I’m having a helluva time breathing through this process! Continued good luck to your D. All will be well.

Sorry to hear that GSOMTMOM. I know your D will end up somewhere amazing and perfect for her! Do you know how many offers were extended today? My son has a friend who has been anxiously waiting.

I know of 1 but that’s not to say there weren’t more.

Ok. Thank you!

:(

Does this mean that all the spots are full? I remember Kaitlin telling my s that they have had 100% acceptance rates for the last 2 years.

I don’t think all the spots are full as in everyone accepted the offers.

In addition to the two listed here I do know that there were 2 other offers made to boys. My D auditioned this weekend and has not received an email but has gotten that it is a no from her MT coach. We are waiting on her official email. Good luck for everyone. This is a wonderful school!!! Our hearts are broken but onward and upward!! Congrats to all those who have received their acceptances!!!

Can those with direct experience indicate how notifications were made (both “yes” and “no”)? Thanks! We live in interesting times…

Notification came with a phone call to cell phone. First student’s then mom’s when student did not answer. It was magical! Best of Luck to all.

Best of luck to everyone. :)

My S is still on Prioty hold… what does this mean? Are all the spots filled?

Got a “no” here. It came through Acceptd. Add it to the pile. Sigh. We know 3 kids that got acceptances.

UGH!! NOOOO redscorpian! I’m so very sorry to hear that.

good luck to all

Several offers have been made and several no’s have gone out.

At this point, if you have not heard either way, you are still in the running. Remember that for each spot that has been offered, it is not filled until that person accepts the offer - which may happen as late as May 1st. Many of the kids who got offers are, like everyone else, waiting to see what other offers they may get from other schools. Some schools are not even done auditioning and many may not send out offers until as late as April 1st. So, keep breathing…

Last year was not 100% acceptance - at least 3-4 kids chose to go elsewhere. The current senior class did have 100% acceptance, but the junior class did not and I’m not sure about the current sophomore class.

And last year, once things were wrapping up, Kaitlin had a couple of kids still on priority hold who she really wanted, so she made the offers and ended up with 14 instead of 12.

And then… once May 1st hits, it can get really interesting. Anyone who accepted an offer, can rescind their acceptance if they get off a wait list elsewhere… thus opening up a spot at their original school, so the original school goes to their wait list and so on…

Keep b r e a t h i n g . . .

@do-what-u-luv … thank you for keeping this all in perspective, it certainly helps

Last year one of the “No’s” was offered a spot later in the process. So even a “No” didn’t mean “No”.

The sophomore class did not have 100% acceptance. Hang in there!

If my S did a walk in at Chicago Unifieds, would he hear through Accept (since he didn’t submit prescreen) or directly through email if it was a no?
