Pineapple...It actually kind of made sense, I did one of those experiments a year ago in chem, problem is I assumed it was a pain in the neck until the last few minutes, so it was one of theones I didn't concentrate much on. The one's I did do i remember as being pretty sure of their correctness...

Was the gelatine one NNY or YYN? when you replace pineapple one with something different.

I don't think I did that one,I did 3 in the last 60 seconds.

I put straight NNN haha. I wasn't exactly taking my time though... I just looked for a pattern... I saw YNYNNY so I thought maybe it would be NNN. I'm not sure if that's at all logical, in fact, I don't think I actually read the question. Dude, even barron's science tests weren't as hard as that one.

i think i put YYN, but I'm not positive..

I also put NNN for that question, but it wasn't reasoned out very extensively. In fact, I basically had no idea what the purpose of that experiment was -- there just wasn't time to read over the Experiments and answer the questions. I definitely didn't expect Science to be that hard in terms of time.

Amyzintha from reading the answeres you put down, I can tell you right now that it is unlikely you'll earn more than a 30 composite. You've missed almost every single difficult math question that you've brought up except for the P/Q=-1. It's not too late to aim for lower tier universities.

What question about 1 bacteria thing deviding into two parts every hour for 72 hours, how did you guys get 2^24? I got 2^72

Initially it was 1. After one hour it was 2. You keep multiplying by 2 each hour for 72 hours. Did half the people on here miss that math question?

"What question about 1 bacteria thing deviding into two parts every hour for 72 hours, how did you guys get 2^24? I got 2^72"

The bacteria divided in two every three hours for 72 hours, not every hour. That's probably why you got 2^72 and not 2^24.

I need to commit suicide.

PrincetonFather, that wasn't really a nice thing to say to Amyzintha, I mean you never know, right? And you took the ACT also? Your name confuses me haha.

i also put NNN but i wasn't sure. i wasn't sure about anything i put down in the science section haha. i can't wait to see my 30+/30+/30+/20

for almost all the English questions where the author was trying to add something I said "No, because it's not related to the focus"

did you guys put that down for a lot of English questions.

yes i did.....

what's wrong with my test? from the 14 pages on this thread, not ONE of those questions appeared on my test....how does that happen? i had the one with the science test about alpha decay and hydrogen bonds and stuff like that. did anyone else get that version?

hmmm that's weird. maybe it's all in the location

Not so, lost of students are admitted up to the IVY"s with 30's, there isn't so much emphasis on it as you might think. They look mainly at character, school grades, letters, evaluations, and essays. They know that the smartest people in the world can completely bomb it, they do take that into account. Plus, if you send your last scores as well and they see a 34 on your math, they might say "oh, okay, so she ahd a bad day for math."

GIve it your best shot, it is NOT contingent soley on scores.

"What question about 1 bacteria thing deviding into two parts every hour for 72 hours, how did you guys get 2^24? I got 2^72"

"The bacteria divided in two every three hours for 72 hours, not every hour. That's probably why you got 2^72 and not 2^24."

The bacteria divided every three hours, so simply 72 divided by three. Then you get 2^24.

I got NNY for that gelatin one, but I really guessed.

Here's what I thought about the test compared to Sept
Math: harder (finished...but couldn't check all answers)
English: easier (finished with 10min to check answers)
Reading: much HARDER ( I got a perfect score last time, but its not going to happen this time...who cares about a duck hatching!)
Science: Same (it's always hard because of the time constraints

For the english section there was the first story about a girl going to get a haircut. In the second paragraph of that sentence, it said "The shop is located between two something" and then it went on to discuss how the shop is used for other handyman reasons. What was the best transition into that sentence? I said the best transition is "But I came to realize this store was used for things other than a barbershop"
