THE OFFICIAL ACCEPTANCE THREAD........cuz noone will be rejected

This is also a countdown to the day when you are suppose to recieve the large/small envelope !!!!!!!

also to help out next years hopefuls ( this includes myself ) Please post the stats in the format below........

Its gettn closer.....

Let the countdown begin!

Copy and paste the following into the reply. Then fill in the answers. First decision, then SAT scores, etc.
Remove the spaces inside the brackets to make it work...

lets make it a little more easier to read by making ACCEPTED green, REJECTED red, and WAITLIST yellow. Do this by by putting Red, Yellow, or Green in where the word "Red" is right now in the first line.

You're a little early Chillin My suggestion would be since we have all posted our stats too many times keep it simple Copy the list of 24 names and next to yours write A =accepted R=rejected D=Defferal,SAT/ACT score additional comments I don't know how to do colors etc and all those questions are cumbersome and if we keep the list going we can easily see who the class of 2011 will be and you can always link on their names for other posts info etc

Okay, I'll admit I just did that because I was wondering what all the brackets, slashes, and all that stuff were for? Does that make it print all fancy? Because, for some reason, it doesn't work that way for me!

Then again, my biggest computer fantasy involves a very heavy sledgehammer and a wicked swing! :)

Hey, wow! I followed directions closely this time and it worked. Trick is to eliminate the spaces in the brackets...

I feel wayyyyyyyyyyyy cool!

Seriously, this is my second time cruising these boards (second kid applying), and I'd always see this information up with all the brackets and whatnot... Obviously, none of those people followed directions, either... Just eliminate the space, and you can look like a pro! :)

If I can do it, absolutely any one of you can!

Decision: Just a test, I have no idea what will happen... Okay, I'll admit--it's a last minute chances post--HUMOR ME! :) What do you think?

[/ul]Subjective:[ul] ?
[] Essays: Talked about how passion drives life, balance to enjoy it; used cross country running as metaphor for living life; included ability to balance drive with ability to enjoy the moment; to laugh, cry & love; also extra statement about beauty of ND campus and visiting in the summers as a kid
[] Teacher Recs: Outstanding letter (brought tears to my eyes--me being mom); focused on character and being "touched and transformed" by material in class, rather than just trying to get the grades
[ ] Counselor Rec: Another outstanding letter by academic dean; talked about excellence in assignments; character, leadership, perceptiveness
[ ] Hook (if any): Additional letter by alumna (you can submit one of these & they will put with file) who is administrator of scholarship fund of deceased ND classmate; referred to d as "one of those rare people that does all the right things for all the right reasons" and "having a maturity few of us reach at any age"; ND's head of international development added a handwritten note on top and hand-delivered both to admissions office
The "hook", if anything, is character and vision

Kr123, come on now, I know what you are thinking! ;) You aren't saving time, you are sneaking on last CHANCES POST!!!!!!

And, when you come to think of it, why the heck not! :)

So, I jump on board first... I happened to read that heartfelt essay, and thought it was very cool, as I think admissions people will think it is cool as well. Hard to say what they will do, but I guarantee it won't be rejection; deferral in worst case scenario. And since we have this highly effective online prayer chain, that tips the odds in your favor...

Hey, everybody...you know you've been waiting, waiting, waiting. You want to throw another chances posting out there...just itchin' to, right?

INDULGE YOURSELF! Do it here now. Let's pretend that WE are the admissions people. Just don't forget to give your handicap of chances on the previous posters... We all want people to comment on our chances posts!

We can make this kind of like the last evening gown walk before they start narrowing the choices and giving out the crown!
