^ Thank you so much!

So I just wrote my Essay # 2. It said the word limit was 500 and mine turned out to be 499 after shortening it quite a bit. When i pressed submit it said that "Essays that are more than 100 words are very rarely successful, are you sure you want to submit?"

The thing is, for this essay I'm writing about an event in my life that had a profound effect on me and I don't think i can sum it up in 100 words. Is it ok to keep it around 450??

Will it really give me less of a chance to be accepted??

@Ramin - That's very strange...you definitely can do up to 500 words - that's the whole point of the limit. Email Questbridge about that problem

D was near the limit on all essay's last year and got matched. Yes, call them first thing Monday morning!

sweet, thanks guys!

Would any past QuestBridge applicants care to critique my essays? Time is winding down and I don't have many readers who can help me...

I have a problem. Well, I asked my Chemistry teacher about a month ago if she could write me a rec for QB and she happily agreed; however, it has been a month and she still hasn't written it. I've curtiously reminded her several times during the past two weeks and she said she would get it done. Now here's the problem: I just checked my QB Locker and it says that she hasn't even started on her rec yet!

I'm going to remind her again on Monday, but with the deadline approaching I don't know what to do if she still doesn't write it.

What should I do?

Thanks!

so for the biographical essay(long one)...is that basically asking for your life story? i.e. sum up main ideas of your other essays+ a few other things?

like olive tree i also need someone to help edit/critique my essays. if kyle or anyone else is willing to do it please let me know and tellme how i should send it. ty

@demonsword55 - In a nutshell, yes. Or at least, that's what I did :)

did anyone here get matched last year?

If I took the Oct ACT could it be considered for the college match round (by the colleges?) Would I have to rush the scores? Thanks

yea i took the sept act and am taking the oct sat2s. who do i send the scores to qb or the individual schools?and when do i send them whenever i get them back? also since im doing the app. as an international students i cant get matched to any of the schools im applying to, so am i right in thinking that any standard tests i take from this point on will all get put into consideration for rd.?

also do the reccs have to be on the net? everyone was saying you could fax it but now i read this on the faq "Student recommendations need to be completed on our website and are due on September 30." ???

You can print out the forms and have the teachers fax them in. If you go to teacher recommendations in "my locker" there's a little link where you can print them.

Can people still rank Princeton for early admission? Some people have said yes, but on the website it says we can't.

do teacher recommendations need to be done in order to submit the application? cause i want to submit it tonight but one of my reccs are not completed

As I understand it, the app is one part, as is each rec as well as the counselor report and transcripts. There is no need to send them all out together at the same moment or day, nor is there any need for them to be in a particular order. If one thing is done, send it out. When the next thing is ready to go, send that. Just so long as everything gets there by the 30th.

I don't really have any specific career goals. I know what I want to study, but I haven't decided, for example, lawyer, teacher, engineer, or anything. Is it okay to describe my general career goals?
