^ yup. im doing that too.

is it ok if we only write like 3 lines for the additional information essay? I just need to add on an award that doesn't go in the EC section.

lets say I rank a non-binding college over a binding college but get accepted into the non-binding college. if i change my mind later, then what happens? can i choose to go to the binding school??

is indentation of the essays really necessary? should i just set off my paragraphs with a space in between without indenting?
i read the last few pages and didn't really get a definite answer for this.

WOOT!! I'm finished! ("Completed and Submitted")...it submitted pretty quickly too--about 3 seconds. Thanks to everyone who offered advice and support--especially last night when the server crashed. Now I can do my "actual" homework and rescue my grades!! Good luck everyone!

Kimcpm, you can't do that. I e-mailed them and asked, they said they only let you know your acceptance status for your highest ranked school. So if you also got into the binding college, they won't tell you.

As for the essay thing, skip a line between paragraphs. I submitted them with indents, but when i clicked the "see application in html" link, the indents didn't show up. i am so relieved this is behind me, but i also get a sinking feeling about my chances. It feels like there are A LOT more people this year.

I did indentation (2 spaces) and it doesn't show up in the html but you could tell it was paragraphs.

My friend from last year said not to worry about it; they don't care.

kimcpm, for the College Match portion of the program students are matched with the highest ranked school in their listings which in turn has selected them as a match. Let's say you ranked five schools, some of which are binding and some non-binding:
1. Binding
2. Binding
3. Non-binding
4. Non-binding
5. Binding

For purposes of illustration, let's say Schools 1, 2 and 3 do not select you for a College Match, but Schools 4 and 5 both select you. In this scenario you will only be notified that you have received a Match with School 4 WHICH IS NON-BINDING. You will have the option of going to School 4 or of deciding to turn it down. You can wait until the official regular decision date to notify the school of your decision. You can go ahead and apply Regular Decision to any other schools (whether through QB or not) since you received a non-binding College Match. You only receive one College Match. If a lower-ranked school also picked you, you won't know it. However, it is likely they would admit you through their regular admissions decision process.

Now, let's say School 2 picked you. School 2 is binding. You are now done with your college admissions process.

Everyone has one shot at a College Match. If the school is binding, you've got your college! If is isn't binding, or if you don't get selected during the College Match phase, then you move on to the Regular Decision process. No one gets two College Matches. Is that clear? If not, please let me know and I'll see if I can explain it better.

i actually already submitted my app and left my essays exactly the way they ended up when i pasted from word. there were indentations for some paragraphs and not for others. i also saw the html version so thought it wasn't that big of deal. now that there's some more time to turn it in, should i take the time to go back and fix all of that? do you think it really matters?

nevermind. if they don't care, i'll just let it go then. i didn't really want to resubmit anyways.
thanks rock and athene.

glee! I just received an email [after requesting a deadline extension last night due to all that madness] and they gave me until october 7th.

This is brilliance. Sheer brilliance.

off to finish it all up.

I just read that we needed to fax our official test score reports. I only faxed in the ones on my transcript... this sucks >_< No way to submit them online?

cc3c - I posted on page 70 - one page before this post #1048 the QB information on early decision.

Good luck to everyone!

agatalotta, ur so lucky! kind of unfair though -_-

Hi Raveflare!

If they gave Agatalotta until the 7th to submit an application, why don't you email QuestBridge explaining the situation and try to get an extension?

I hope it works out for you!

I'm about to die!!

My old school from last year has my SAT I, SAT II, and AP test scores and have not been very cooperative in sending them over to my current school.
I sent an e-mail to Questbridge explaining my situation. Do you think they'll let me turn in my application and then allow me to send in my test scores when I do get them?

I'm soooooooo nervous about this =(

Anyone...?

But the thing is, Im applying to ALL NON BINDING PARTNER COLLEGES. So it wouldnt be a problem right? So even if I become finalist i can still apply EA... Correct?

Thats the point of non binding right?

HOLY #$&* you guys are insane...(record number of posts in the span of a few hours?)

@cc3c - You can apply EA if you choose not to participate in the College Match program (after you find out if you are a finalist).

I am confused why. Since IM only applying to NON BInding colleges, shouldnt that not impact my applying EA to antoher college? Both are not binding, IM not breaking any contract...
