[</em>] Teacher Recs: My history rec highlighted my leadership abilities in the classroom and my interests, so I thought it was pretty good. I was not able to read my English one, but I trust that it was also strong.
[<em>] Counselor Rec: From the IB Coordinator, who is also my History teacher. I think it is pretty strong.

Date Accepted: Well I got the official letter today in the mail, just back from my trip, but I knew I was accepted when I was notified about the opportunity to compete for a scholarship in January (I think it was?).</p>

[<em>] Counselor Rec: excellent, I thought. She is my I.B. coordinator and has known me since freshman year when she was my English teacher so she was able to really paint a good picture of me.

[<em>] Interview: yes, first time as simply a prospective student with an admissions counselor and thought it went fairly well. She seemed impressed with my enthusiasm (?) I think. And second time, I was competing for a scholarship and had a interview with a faculty member. He only asked like two questions and I just went off from there and it kind of turned into a discussion more than anything else.

<p>General Comments: Best financial aid than any other school, and probably my favorite overall. Wellesley would be much colder. I just sent my deposit into Scripps today :)</p>

I also spent four years (two years for each campaign) working as an assistant and youth coordinator for a local congressional campaign. For the past 5 years I have been attending and presenting papers at Harry Potter academic symposiums. Topics include: parent psychology, genetics, loyalty, and the anti-hero.</p>

<p>Scholarships: I haven't received any financial information yet.</p>

<p>General Comments: Scripps was the only school that accepted me, so unless I get off a wait list and decide I like one of those schools better it looks like I'm going to Scripps. I have a friend who goes there and really likes it, and my boyfriend, who goes to Pitzer, thinks I'll really like it as well.</p>

<p>I'm pretty excited, but I'm not too sure about Claremont (the city, not the colleges). I come from a suburban city, and I was really hoping to be able to attend a school in a big city, or at least a city with a proper public transportation service. I know Scripps is right outside of LA, but I've heard mixed things about the availability and ease of getting into the city.</p>

The other one on the other hand was a bit vague, but most of the boxes were filled in the "Top 5%" or "Few Encountered" boxes...

<p>Scholarships: none; was not awarded JES. Given a decent amount of college grants in the "estimated" financial aid package, but have yet to receive a verified and final package. Should probably call them about it.</p>

<p>General Comments: I really do hope I am able to attend. I think my parents are leaning more and more towards me going. So hopefully I can be a Scrippsie next year and meet you all! Undecided about a major- but possibly biology/ecology or psychology. We'll see. The Keck Science Center is VERY nice. And everyone seems on top of it. When I visited, it seemed like people were incredibly intelligent. INCREDIBLY intelligent. But not necessarily competitive- although I did not meet and talk to as many science majors as I wanted to...</p>
