Subjective:[ul]
[] Essays: I thought my essay was awesome, but I think it was a bit too unconventional for most schools.
[] Teacher Recs: I got one from my high school history teacher, who adores me, and another from my college chemistry professor, who said I was the best student in her class.
[] Counselor Rec: I have no clue. I suppose it's good though.

[] State or Country: Florida
[] School Type: small, public gifted school/small, public liberal arts college
[] Ethnicity: Jewish
[] Gender: Female (duh!)
[/ul]Other Factors/Hook?: I spent a summer in Rajasthan, India teaching 6-11 graders English, politics, and culture. I also spent four years (two years for each campaign) working as an assistant and youth coordinator for a local congressional campaign. For the past 5 years I have been attending and presenting papers at Harry Potter academic symposiums. Topics include: parent psychology, genetics, loyalty, and the anti-hero.

Scholarships: I haven't received any financial information yet.

General Comments: Scripps was the only school that accepted me, so unless I get off a wait list and decide I like one of those schools better it looks like I'm going to Scripps. I have a friend who goes there and really likes it, and my boyfriend, who goes to Pitzer, thinks I'll really like it as well.

I'm pretty excited, but I'm not too sure about Claremont (the city, not the colleges). I come from a suburban city, and I was really hoping to be able to attend a school in a big city, or at least a city with a proper public transportation service. I know Scripps is right outside of LA, but I've heard mixed things about the availability and ease of getting into the city.
