will they be releasing decisions this early? with my stats, it's only a matter of awaiting the days until my rejection letter arrives. i've only had an upward trend as of late....

Too many people do not read instructions carefully or simply do not bother following them, so here is an updated template that requires less work. To use:

1)Copy/past text in gray box below into a new message
2)Keep only one of the top 3 lines indicating your decision
3)Type info after colons on each line that has them

[li] State or Country:
[/li]

[li] School Type:
[/li]

[li] Ethnicity:
[/li]

[li] Gender:
[/li]

Whoever gets worked up over the text above automatically looses their CC account :-) Have some fun, pleople, relax, breathe deep. Everyone will hear sooner or later from USC, they have not forgotten you, lost your application, or fed it to the dogs.

I also received an acceptance letter yesterday. Does anyone know why I received it so early. I was so surprised. I thought they let applicants know closer to the april 1st deadline. For those who received letters, did u get into the marshall school? is that why we received our letter so early? i'm ecstatic about the letter, just a little confused why a few received their letters so early

Typically those who receive acceptance letters the earliest are up for either Trustee or Presidential (full or half) scholarship. You'll probably hear more in the coming weeks regarding a visit to USC to interview for your scholarship.

Those of you receiving your acceptance now, will be receiving ALOT from USC every week for the next months. Enjoy it because no other school will treat you like such royalty!

If you have been accepted- PLEASE READ: I've made a new thread for those accepted to post their stats. Don't worry, you are anonymous here, so be honest. Please help keep a nice clean thread for future reference!

If you applied to USC by Dec 10 and you are not in need of financial aid/probably won't receive a merit scholarship, can you still hear before April 1? In short, are all the decisions that are mailed out prior to April 1 only for scholarship contenders?

^ Decisions go out in waves. Apparently the first wave or two, from late Jan into about the second week of Feb are those that are or may be considered for merit scholarship interviews. Then other acceptances are mailed from then into end March, including those who may be up for Deans Scholarships. Rejections are left to last, first couple of weeks in April.
So no, not ALL decisions mailed prior to April are for scholarship contenders.

Last year-
-Scholarship recipients (Trustees and Presidential) were notified of interviews by about the first or second week of February.
-Other scholarship recipients and others not receiving scholarships were notified starting in late February through the beginning of April.
-Rejections came out the first week of April.
