Scripps College 2009 Decisions

This forum has been dead for over a week! But hopefully it will brighten up as well get decisions and aid offers! Hopefully they will be out this week...I'm fairly sure in the past they started to trickle in around this time (late March). It'd be nice if everyone posted their full stats profile along with their decision, since I'm sure next year's anxious applicants would be happy to see what happened the year before in full detail. Good luck ladies!

Called the admissions office. "They'll be in the mail tomorrow."

Does that mean that we can call to ask our admission decisions on Wednesday? I remember from reading last year's threads that applicants were allowed to call the day after they were sent -- does that still apply this year?

Good luck, everyone! :D

Did anyone call/get in yet?

I didn't call because I got home too late. But wait...does anyone know their hours? Maybe I could've called.

I called because I'm going to St. Louis this weekend and not getting back until Sunday and I just had to know...:) So I called at like 7:30 EST/4:30 PST and they said they'd get back to me, and they did at 9:00 EST/6:00 PST...so i'm guessing they don't close until past 6???? Idk...but anyway, I got in with the JES scholarship!!! I'm so happy!!! I'll post stats later.

Congratulations!!!

Congrats!

I wish I had called...

I called and they took my name and number but haven't called me back.

Did anyone else get a call from scripps on Tuesday letting them know they were accepted?

My daughter got her acceptance package regular mail yesterday. But we live in southern CA.

Congratulations to all who have been accepted! That is such exciting news.

D doesn't want to call but oh my goodness I can barely stand it! We are in Northern California and I think it will be there today. Yesterday D got there first and checked the mail...nothing but the most recent issue of Sports Illustrated so the tension is amped up a bit here.

Rejected...over the phone. I was told the acceptance rate was 30%, though.

Sigh. I really loved Scripps.

^Awww.... that's too bad. You were brave to call. My D would never have the guts. 30% has really dropped. I think it was 40 something % last year.

history, fingers, toes and other parts are crossed!

Called in- they got back to me in an hour!

Decision: Accepted

[] Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis): Violin- 11 yrs. Speech & Debate- Pretty good record. State champion, few national wins. [/ul]Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Strong scores, good ECs.
[] Weaknesses: Weak math grades as of past two years. Not sure if it was my best interview. I didn't have like hundreds of community service hours to report..
[] Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: I fit into the top 25% of the applicant pool, and I also went to visit.
[/ul]General Comments: BEST OF LUCK to everyone! So far, it looks like Scripps is my best option.. I have been accepted to Lewis & Clark with scholarship though so it's between those two. Will hear from CMC tonight- basically my first choice.

Does anyone know when we receive the financial aid package?

This is my top school but also the most expensive! I'm VERY worried that my family won't be able to afford it.
