<p>Called the admissions office. "They'll be in the mail tomorrow."</p>

<p>Does that mean that we can call to ask our admission decisions on Wednesday? I remember from reading last year's threads that applicants were allowed to call the day after they were sent -- does that still apply this year?</p>

Essay: Told the story of how she went out for the boys' wrestling team as a freshman and ultimately won the conference championship in her weight class. Kind of read like a movie script.</p>

<p>I didn't call because I got home too late. But wait...does anyone know their hours? Maybe I could've called.</p>

<p>I called because I'm going to St. Louis this weekend and not getting back until Sunday and I just had to know...:) So I called at like 7:30 EST/4:30 PST and they said they'd get back to me, and they did at 9:00 EST/6:00 PST...so i'm guessing they don't close until past 6???? Idk...but anyway, I got in with the JES scholarship!!! I'm so happy!!! I'll post stats later.</p>

<p>My daughter got her acceptance package regular mail yesterday. But we live in southern CA.</p>

<p>D doesn't want to call but oh my goodness I can barely stand it! We are in Northern California and I think it will be there today. Yesterday D got there first and checked the mail...nothing but the most recent issue of Sports Illustrated so the tension is amped up a bit here.</p>

<p>Rejected...over the phone. I was told the acceptance rate was 30%, though.</p>

<p>Sigh. I really loved Scripps.</p>

A lot of leadership/experience in current events stuff, attended conferences. I went on a year abroad my junior year to France with a pretty respected program.

[</em>] Volunteer/Community service: Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Local Neighborhood Organization.
[<em>] Summer Activities: Working- but I've spent earlier summers at Debate camp, Concordia Language Villages Credit sessions.
[</em>] Essays: Eh. Never loved them. My Scripps one focused on my experience when I visited- a point I made since I came from MA- and how that alone distinguished everything I liked about Scripps.
[<em>] Teacher Recommendation: One good.. translation of a rec. from my french lit teacher.., the other .. eh.. he had only know me three m months.
[</em>] Counselor Rec: Stellar
[<em>] Interview: Not my best, but I interview pretty well if I do say so myself.

[/ul]General Comments: BEST OF LUCK to everyone! So far, it looks like Scripps is my best option.. I have been accepted to Lewis & Clark with scholarship though so it's between those two. Will hear from CMC tonight- basically my first choice.</p>

<p>Does anyone know when we receive the financial aid package?</p>

<p>This is my top school but also the most expensive! I'm VERY worried that my family won't be able to afford it.</p>
