we started equilibrium a week ago and starting acids/bases equil.

via: You’re definitely a bit behind.

really? all we have left is redox/electrochem and nuclear chem

Oh, I wasn’t aware that you have already completed thermochemistry. A bit strange that you did thermochem before equilibrium.

Really? We did thermo REALLY early in the year. Like September. Adding it to electrochem, for us at least, was just review.

We’ve been reviewing, right now we’re on a review of bonds and hybridization! Has anyone taken the Chem Olympiad local test yet? Mine’s this Saturday and I’m pumped!

What is the common trend among scores on the MC and FRQ is MC usually higher?

We did thermodynamics. Is that related?

We’re doing Solutions right now. Just finished Electro too. I’m just worried because we have our practice exam the Friday we get back from Spring Break which is in 3 weeks 3 days, and I am really worried because she’s counting the practice exam twice as a test grade. Of course I will be studying over Spring Break wherever I go…but it’s so sad that the teachers count it as a test grade and if you do bad…woops my grade just went in the toilet…

@NewAccount: yeah we did thermo just a little before, i guess thats just how my teacher decided to do it. wow, i was freaking out because i do NOT want to be behind in an AP as difficult as chem, whew…

I’m in Bonding… Still a long haul ahead.

I’m taking a non-AP accelerated chemistry class that’s probably harder than many AP chemistry classes (less than 5 people got A’s last semester). We’re on solutions now, and I’m going to start studying the stuff that we haven’t covered yet sometime.

We just finished electrochem, and are about to start thermodynamics. We did solutions earlier. It’s interesting how much variation there is in the order of topics.

we have 4 chapters to cover… a bit late
and btw i also take ap phys b class and we are only halfway through XP

Anyone know where I can find practice MC Q’s?

We are doing acid/bases. Anyone know the importance of sig figs on the Exam?

Apparently you can be off by one sig fig and it will still count.

So if your sig figs are off by more than 1 will they give you partial credit or no credit?

That’s what I’ve heard. I assume the answer will be considered wrong, but the work will still be fine.

Hmm I see some discrepancy, though, because my AP Chem teacher attended an international teacher conference and the participants said, for Chemistry, significant figures do not matter unless you give at least 3 places…? Idk.

That’s incorrect. ^

There is room for 1 sig fig error.
