4 rejections from my school so far, no acceptances
we have a history of getting about 20 % into BC every year
3/16 last year and 4/21 in '04

Accepted from MA!

Gross story- The envelope was huge... but it was ripped open and there was a yogurt wrapper with some yogurt still on it attached to my financial aid information.

Stats:
3.83 GPA weighted
Top 10% (but barely)
2230 SATs, 720 writing, 770 CR, 740 math
Lots of volunteer work

Waitlisted

Sigh, it would have been better to be flat rejected.

What are the percentages of people accepted off the wait list?

Well Rye, if it makes you feel any better I'm probably going to attend a different school. To everyone out there like me, make sure you let BC know as soon as you know if you won't be attending.

What state are you from Rye? Best of luck to you. It looks like you still have some nice schools to select from!

hey everyone!

i just got my acceptance letter, and i was really excited, until i saw my financial aid package. Now, i wont be able to go to BC cuz my family cannot afford it.

SUX, huh

don't they meet 100% of need?

don't they meet 100% of need?

Loans are technically "meeting need". Your EFC(for BC) and the scholarship and grant amount given to you is often proportional to your grades and SAT scores.

They Meet 100% of need, even though my need was roughly 3$ a year, they covered it with a scholarship and a grant. They also offered me work study, but work study does not go toward paying tuition at BC, rather what they call 'students expenses'. If you go to the collegeboard website you can see how they meet need on the fin aid page.

my EFC that came up when i filled out the fafsa was about 7,000 lower than what BC is giving me.

I must say, IM SURPRISED IVE LASTED THIS LONG in this little waiting contest. I have a 1330/2000 with a 3.73 UW in fl. After coming here, I was sure Id get a rejection on monday. Then Tuesday, wednesday....nothing! Im not getting my hopes but ha it would be very cooool if I made it to the end and got accepted.

haha same here. Its just taht I have a 1270/1940. I really am expecting a rejection, howeve I havent received any mail yet. I really would like to get accepted. It would be ridiculously cool, and I will realize that my admissions strategy couldve worked ?

come on, the average of BC is just 1370, so there must be a lot of SAT scores lower than you guys.

good luck!=D

my english teacher is a graduate of boston college and she works in teh admissions office at bc

she told us that some rejections and waitlists were sent out friday because they are easy to process..

the rest were being sent on tuesday morning around 8 a.m.

i didn't hear today and i live 30 minutes south of boston

i'm hoping to hear this weekend

wait....dukes2....then does that mean are chances have increased...or not?

meaning if we havent gotten mail yet?

well im sure it depends on where you live..

check your recent mail from BC and see how long it usually takes to get to your house..

So if it only takes a day, and they sent out the rest of the bad things yesterday, then we're probably in good shape?

Did she tell you when the rest were getting sent?

the rest were being sent on wednesday and thursday

I GOT IN!!!!!!!! BC was my reach school. Maybe I got my decision today because I live in Boston.

thats awesome

where do u go to school jnick
