Official 2011 AP US History Thread!

Oh, wow. I need to read the questions more thoroughly, it makes total sense! Thanks guys =)

Yep, A, as that is pre French + Indian War and I have had that question two times in my class

I know everything before the Civil War and then once it hits reconstruction im screwed

so half the test… idk ill prolly get a 4 but i want a 5

still trying to read 100+ pages on 1900-1960 tonight, and the writing i seem to have an uncanny talent for… so the MC is gonna be the killer

Haha I’m the opposite. I know everything after the Civil War, but pre-Civil War? no way.

Any ideas for FRQs?

Also, anyone know where I can go to brush up on immigrant/civil rights/women’s/Native American history? Stuff in that vein? We didn’t really talk about it much

Who’s excited?!?! Wooo!

Crash course, b*tches

I tried to re-read amsco but only got up to the Civil War.

Whatever, good luck everyone

WHO’S READY? Yeah me either. Hahaha.

I kind of want to cry haha.

Don’t worry guys. As long as you do good on the multiple choice, you’re set for at least a 4. To give a more specific example, you only need like 70% correct on multiple choice plus an average of 5-6 on the essays for a 5.

65/80 yesterday without prep… almost done with DH now

@Ronaldo, you need even less. a 55/80, plus a 5 on all three essays is (I believe) the minimum for a 5.

cramming everything from 1800 on tonight. lesss go.

how much is each section worth again? i could’ve sworn multiple choice was 60% but someone just told me it’s 50%.

MC: 50 %

Essays: 50%

Within essays:
45% DBQ
27.5 % FRQ1
27.5 % FRQ2

Everyone: you will be ready! Just go with your guts and ace the test!

Definitely A. Remember that the colonists did not hate the English; in fact, they loved being Englishmen!

How are you guys making full use of your Crash course book? I’m reading it through but I can’t retain anything regarding 1800s-1900s unless I write something.

Question, can someone explain social gospel to me? For some reason, I’m confusing it with other things (like gospel of wealth).

Multiple choice is 50% of the grade, essays are 50% and within the essays, DBQ is worth 45% and the other two 55%. So basically, you’ve gotta kill the DBQ. :)
