Anyone here from CA?

I am freaking out - super nervous!

I was accepted to the Bouve School majoring in Health Sciences but for the NU IN program, i thought that this wasn’t an option for Health Sciences majors. I also have assumed that going abroad is mandatory, but if I have an illness that would prevent me from going do you think that something else can be arranged?

Writing - 640

IB Diploma Candidate

Why do I think I was accepted?
Honestly, I’m not sure. I’m seeing some kids with wayyy better stats than mine and yet I got in and they didnt. This could be for a couple of reasons:

 1. 800 in math. Thats a pretty big deal for these science and engineering departments so maybe they’re into that?
 2. IB. IB is one of those things that shows dedication and looks pretty good on paper. In actuality it all depends on how difficult the school makes and how students handle it.
 3. I met with dean of Comp Sci and sent letters to NEU about different stuff I’ve been doing. The biggest for me was going to an HP/Palm developer conference back in November. Shows dedication to my major I guess.

Anyway, good luck to everyone out there!
