*OFFICIAL* 2012-2013 AP European History Thread

He said the higher ability students picked the frq i did lol that could be really good or really bad :P

probably good! and i did the art one which was the worst but whatever

I’m legitimately surprised that people picked the women question more than the right-wing regime question. The right-wing regime question was probably the single easiest question on the entire exam. There’s ton to talk about with Hitler, Mussolini, Franco, Alexander I of Yugoslavia, and the list goes on. My essay for that was super, super, super long.

I’m definitely not surprised that people chose the imperialism question most often for the first 3 though.

I thought the right-wing regime question was far easier than the other choices. There were many factors to discuss. I wasn’t too sharp on my more modern history, so I decided not to pick the women’s rights question.

I also chose the imperialism question, but I feel like my answer was not as strong as I would have liked. :/

I was praying for an imperialism question, and I had a mental victory dance when I saw it on the test. I was so happy that it was imperialism that I didn’t realise that the imperialism question was the exact, exact same as the one we got on our final exam. That just made it so much better, especially since I aced it and the teacher went through exactly what was he would expect for a 9/9 essay.

Anyone know when you can get your scores?

I failed my AP Euro course, but I’m a bit eager to see what my score on the exam is. I wagered a couple hundred dollars on my exam score lol.

I will be in Indiana for the next few days with my laptop, how will collegeboard be able to tell that I’m not in my original state? Will I just have to wait until the last early day to check my scores or will they be able to locate me in Indiana. I’m starting to think I’d rather be peaceful knowing they can’t find out where I am though…

They use your IP address to find out where you’re located, so if you’re physically in Indiana, you’ll be able to see your scores whenever the early day is for Indiana.

i got a 3. was kinda hoping for a 4 but i knew i wouldn’t get it.

Yes! I got a 5!

5! I self studied so I am rolling on the ground in excitement right now.

Nothing like an AP score to destroy a man’s self-esteem… :/

I got a 3, which is what I expected. I would have loved a 5 or a 4, but at least it’s still passing. Too bad CB doesn’t give us the scoring breakdown for the MC/DBQ/FRQs, though.

I got a 3, but I was expecting a 5, 4 at worst. My teacher told me I was going to get a 5 and I had the highest grade in the class for the whole year. I honestly felt like those were the best essays I have ever written, and in class I usually got 7’s and 8’s, and even a 9 a week before the exam. My teacher told me he grades harder then most readers do… I don’t know if it was my bad handwriting or if I screwed up bubbling in the multiple choice… Should I have it rescored?

^ You could, but more than likely its just your teacher exaggerating your ability…not to sound offensive

Or maybe you just had a bad day. Happens to everyone. I highly doubt college board made a mistake.

I got a 4 so I’m pretty happy. My teacher didn’t really go over any study tactics so that stinks. I think I ended up getting the highest in the class. I’m taking 3 APs next year. Hopefully I’ll do better now that I know what to expect. And I hope my next teachers help us out a little more.

Also…quick question… on the 8th do we get the scores for each part of the exam? Like do we find out how we did on the multiple choice and each free response?
