*OFFICIAL* 2012-2013 AP European History Thread

I got a four (even though I never opened the textbook and slept in class… i know, I was really bad), so there was definitely a generous curve. Oh and QUESTION: are we ever going to be able to see what we scored for each section? (My teacher said we might be able to, but I couldn’t find anything about it on the collegeboard site…)

No, we won’t.

Got a 5! Congrats to everyone who passed! Yay, now on to APUSH…

Got a fu*king 3 when I read the crash course book twice… My frqs were awful…

Got a 4 on this test. -__-

Kind of disappointed since i thought i was in the 5 range with all the practice tests. I studied so hard for this test. T_T

Thinking about rescoring it. Should I rescore or just leave it alone?

I feel like a failure after hearing about all the 5’s on this forum.

it’s a 4…not a 1 or 2.^

I know that, but I needed and wanted a 5. T__T
I am willing to invest if there is a chance of my score jumping to a 5.

This was my first AP and I got a 5!

However after taking it, I was convinced that I would get a 4 for the reason that I totally messed up my FRQs and I personally believed that my DBQ was extremely unorganized. For my first FRQ, I did the essay on Newtonian physics and Darwinism. I completely did not realize what the question was asking until the middle of the essay, so I had to go back and completely renovate my whole first paragraph. It was absolutely horrible, I thought that it would take a miracle for me to get above a 4/9 on that one. My second FRQ, I chose the one on right-wing authoritarian regimes and I made the biggest mistake. My teacher did not teach us the difference between right-wing and left-wing, so I basically screwed that whole essay up. I based my paragraphs on Hitler and Stalin (who is LEFT WING) and for that, I was sure I’d get a 1.
My experience with this AP test goes to show that the curve makes a really big difference. Also I was extremely nervous whilst taking the test, which I thought made a huge impact on the quality of my DBQ and FRQs.

My friend and I created a website with comprehensive course notes and study guides for Ap Euro to solve a problem that we faced-- there weren’t many online resources for the class. Check it out and give us feedback; spread the word! apeuroguide.com
