Where is everyone at? We just finished WWI, and won’t be spending much (if any) time on the Cold War because all of the kids in my class took APUS with the same teacher and we went over the Cold War in depth last year.

We’re just getting into WWI. As I mentioned in earlier posts, our class is pretty far behind where we should be, and because of that, I’m pretty much forced to self-study for the exam.

Just finished WW1. Is that behind schedule?

Well, we finished it the 22nd and then spring break happened, if that makes a difference. I have the Princeton review and spark chart for the course. It is my first AP class so I am also curious when I need to start studying.

Not sure if that’s behind schedule, but if it is, then I’m screwed, since I’m even farther behind than you are (As I stated in a previous post, my class is just getting into WWI). This is my first AP class as well, and I plan to start studying this week; perhaps even tomorrow. I am using the Barrons book and Larry Krieger’s Crash Course as my prep books.

If it makes you feel better, my stat class is on chapter 6 of 12 and I’m on spring break this entire week. Our teacher hasn’t even asked us to begin to look at the remaining chapters - I think she’s losing hope.

Ha, we aren’t even on World War I yet.

Any predictions for the FRQ?

Apparently there’s almost always a question about feminism, but beyond that, I’m not really sure. I’d take a look at past exams and try to figure out any trends in the questions to see which ones are likely to be asked. This shows all the FRQs from 2001-2012:

What are the best strategies for doing well on the DBQs and FRQs?

I just read Crash Course over spring break. Probably gonna read Princeton Review next. I just wish the exam would be over. -.-

The exam is now exactly one month away…ugh. We’re only at chapter 24 of 29, and have still yet to do a DBQ or FRQ this year, and I’m pretty sure the teacher has just about given up on us. Is there any way I can still get a 5 just by prepping with Barron’s and Crash Course, given my situation?

Bump. Exam is now only three weeks away. My class is now at chapter 26, but we have still yet to do a DBQ or FRQ.

I’m not even taking the class, so I’m basically being forced to cram with Crash Course, Princeton Review, and whatever online videos I can find.

My class finished the course a week ago, and we started the Final Exam yesterday with the DBQ.
My score on the dbq hangs on one document that my teacher is being stubborn on the interpretation. lets hope for the best :P

My class has been a total nightmare this year, so I’m pretty much self-studying everything on my own. I’m using Crash Course and Barron’s, in addition to the notes and notecards I’ve made throughout the year, and any practice tests I can get a hold of. On average, only one kid a year in that class has received a five, so the odds are against me, especially since the exam is less than three weeks away.

You should do some practice AP Exams , especially the essays

Yeah, I was going to do the two practice exams in Barron’s and also some of the old AP exams. Hopefully that’s sufficient enough. My teacher said he’d give us FRQs and DBQs by exam day, but I have no faith in him actually following through with that.

WOOT self-studying…lol really really far behind though…

any good study guide websites? I’m reading princeton review…but IDK what else to do…

We should start posting MC questions from past exams/ Online to kinda review together.
I’ll post one when i get home or one of you can :)
