Do you think you got a 5?

Did anyone else think that there were only six documents for the DBQ? I was like half way done with the DBQ and then I turned the page and I was like “WOAH-ly crap. I have four more documents…” Luckily, it didn’t mess up my entire essay and I ended up finishing it with ten extra minutes.

CC was pretty easy; I feel like I got like a six or an eight, depending on who’s grading it. (I just talked about disease, urbanization, slavery, rising polygamy in Africa, and trade).

The CCOT was TERRIBLE. I talked about Islam and how they went from traveling from land to going on foot, but it was terribly unorganized (my class didn’t do any CCOT practice essays…). It was four paragraphs of complete BS. I’m expecting a three on that lol.

And for the MC… well I am terrible with quotes. Like in my practice tests, I always got the pictures and quote questions wrong, so I’m pretty worried about that. :/

I self studied it, so prior to the test, i was expecting a 3 and some scolding from my parents later for wasting the money for the exam lol. Surprisingly, the MC was a lot easier than I expected, and unlike some practice tests I took, I was not time-pressured and there were some questions that were ridiculously easy. As for the essays, DBQ was fine… prolly 6 or higher, but the two frqs i wrote were half bs and half legit. In other words, i’ll prolly get around a 3, maybe 4 on each of those essays. Overall, not too bad !

Flapjacks, I pretty much wrote the same stuff as you for the essays. Our groupings for the DBQ are exactly alike.

Well hopefully that is a good sign. ^^

I take the exam on Wednesday (I’m living overseas). Will the exam I get be the same as the one all of you are taking?

No, because they already released the FRQ.

I really don’t want to wait until July…

so I have the make up ap world exam in about an hr. Do you guys know if the make up exam is harder than what was given on the original date.

Oh, thank god. My teacher also told me that it could end up better than worse anyway, so thank god.

I heard that some people got another version of the APWH exam because some of the late exams got mixed with the real thing or something…

wow, the other free response questions seem much easier (to me) :frowning: ah i totally got stumped on the ccot and cc! gosh i’m hoping i get a 2 or 3 on those i really was not expecting those (though they were surprisingly general… maybe that’s why they seemed so difficult to me) hoping i got a 4 cuz i felt confident on the mc :)

Bump b/c no recent posts

I love how I’ll get my June ACT scores before I get this test back…

Noxsing I know that feel bro. I KNOW that feel. I hate it too. Anyway my CCOT had something to do with trade routes or something, the C&C I forgot, and I got the Cricket DBQ, which wasn’t too bad. ughh, i really don’t want to wait until mid july

AP Trevor has been posting some updates here and there about AP World History.

Only about 21% of students earned a 4 or 5. Almost half of all test takers received a failing grade.

Seniors undertandably did much better than sophomores. Almost 11% of seniors scored a 5 while only about 6% of sophomores did.

Students as a whole did best in ancient history up to 600CE, and worst in 1750-1900 history.

On average, students performed best on the DBQ and worst on the third essay.

who’s ap trevor? and where can i find his words of wisdom? XD

I was totally the other way, did much better on last essay then on DBQ

Trevor Packer, Vicepresident of the College Board, has an account in Twitter:
@AP_trevor

Follow him and you will get the most recent information. Regarding AP World History:

Grades Distribution:
6.85% 15.65% 30.44% 29.55% 17.51%

His comments:
“AP World History is a college-level course, & many sophomores aren’t yet writing at that level. 10.44% of seniors = 5. 6.62% of sophs = 5. But more than 45% of sophomores ARE getting 3s, 4s on AP World History this year, so that’s quite impressive. AP World History students did best on the mc questions covering pre-history – 600 CE, and least well on mc questions covering 1750-1900.”

Ugh. >_> As I sophomore I am now disheartened. I felt pretty good about the MC, DBQ, and CCOT, though, so hopefully my floundering on the Comp/Con won’t kill me!

Aiming for 4. crosses fingers

This is extremely discouraging. I was aiming for a 5, but I’m just praying for a 4 right now.

Got a 4. I wanted the 5, but I guess considering the low percentage of 5s this year and me being a freshman, it was unlikely.

I’m happy.
