^ Is that the most recent edition?

Also, I have a Barron’s World History book, but it’s 3rd edition (since I got it at a library.) Is that too outdated or were the changes made afterwards minor?

Mine’s a 3rd edition as well. It has 8 documents for DBQ and 5 choices for MC…

And what surprises me is that it’s the case for my Princeton review (2013 edition) as well, it only has 8 documents/5 choices, so I don’t really want to do their model tests as it wouldn’t be accurate.

The actual test IS supposed to have 10 documents/4 choices for MC right?

Anyone has practice tests that have the right amount of everything (other than the official one)?

Best AP World History study resources areeeee what exactly?

Thanks!

My guess would that it would be because women weren’t seen as equal to men at the time…?

Both were seen as unadvanced as in compare to European nationsand they are both known as a warrior civilation. they differ from each other due to the fact that the aztecs were located in central America while mongols were located in Mongolia.

Yes, people. The point isn’t that the other answers are correct. The point is that C is incorrect and therefore no answers are correct.

I was asking to see if anyone could clarify the answer choice, since the American constitution obviously didn’t extend equal rights to its citizens since women couldn’t vote. So don’t be dumb by saying “Use process of elimination,” lol.

i agree with you D&L. Ap world Mc Questions are very stupid at times. But we must think in the “ap world mindset”. so who’s ready for thursday?

I feel pretty good for Thursday, although I’m about to start cramming on the PR book haha. Does anyone have FRQ predictions?

It’s kind of tough to predict FRQ for WHAP.

I felt confident since I did well on the mock exam but now I’m nervous since I’m making 3s on the PR exams, which I suppose like everyone is saying, is harder than the actual test. How are you supposed to cram–just read as much as you can? I guess that’s what I’ll be doing tomorrow…

I think more on the 2nd one. Like for example, if I chose Christianity, I’d probably write:

During the Protestant Reformation, Christianity promoted social change by providing a medium for Europeans at the time to express their discontent with the unjust authority of the church. Society was also improved during the church-initiated Crusades when Muslim contact brought back home new inventions and ideas. However, this was in contrast to in the Middle Ages when church dominance ultimately lowered advances in science, art, and literacy.

My teacher taught me to write theses a little strangely but yep. I’d probably talk about Pope Urban II, Luther, 95 thesis, Latin being the “church’s” language during Mid Ages.

But I’m not sure if my thesis is answering the prompt correctly; that’s my biggest problem. Any feedback for me too?

You should do them anyway; it would still prepare you.

If you search online I recall doing a test from “MyMaxScore” and it was 4 choices, 9 DBQ? But I’ve heard it’s one of the best practice tests out there though I felt a little offset by it.

I just feel really unprepared for this test… which is weird since I’ve been studying pretty diligently the past two weeks or so.

I’ve read the Barron’s cover to cover twice, did all PR, Barron’s, and Collegeboard practice MC’s and have been scoring an average of 54+ on all of them, but that doesn’t really reassure me, considering I’ll have to get around a 5 on each FRQ to get the 5.

While I’m reading it, I’ll understand the information but when it comes time to practice tests I have so much problem recalling it. Ack.

And I haven’t even started practicing the FRQ’s yet. That CCOT…

So the test is tomorrow… how is everyone’s last minute prep going? I just read once through the history review part of PR today, but it was more like skimming. Does anyone have any tips on what would be the best way to review tonight?

I’m going over all the grey boxes in PR. Reading my crash course. Last minute videos on Getafive. doing some practice questions (minimal). Meditating. Getting good sleep.

are the essays really hard?

i would expect it to be challenging, but not excessively difficult.

No trade essays PLEASE. I’ll be good if there aren’t trade essays. God damn if only we could’ve been the ones to get the Columbian Exchange essay though. I honestly can’t think of an easier plausible topic.

Trying to re-watch getafive videos now lol.

Also, my teacher has divined that there will be a CCOT on women’s rights lol.

Haha DumbandLethal trade essays are the worst! Do you guys have any suggestions for what to do when you hit a CCOT or a Comparison prompt and you can’t recall anything about the topic (especially on the trade essays). I know there isn’t much you can do, but on the test if you were in that situation, what would you do?

My teacher predicted that there will probs be an essay on women’s rights too since there hasn’t been a question on it since 2003.

And regarding that question w/ America and Haiti I got that question wrong too and we had to do test corrections and sarcastically I put that women, slaves, and peasants weren’t considered citizens (I know that that was something for some civilization (although now, in hindsight, it’s probably a lot of civilizations)) and she still marked it correct w/e.

Hey guys, I did the 2012 DBQ (the one with cricket) and I was wondering if I could simply just group the documents into two groups: One that grouped the documents based on cricket bringing unity among the people and another that grouped the documents based on increasing divisons and rivalry. I looked at the sample responses, and everbody seemed to be grouping them in three groups instead. Please help! Thanks
