A family thing came up, so unfortunately, I cant write my last 2 APs…do u think thats ok?? i mean, ive heard the APs at this point are just about placement and stuff in class right…so it shud be fine?

btw…i do not come from a school that does AP, i was wriitng them compeltely independently

Yeah, it shouldn’t be too big of a deal. AP tests do give you credit for certain courses, but it depends on the college. And if it was me I wouldn’t worry about it, family’s more important. Don’t worry, it’s no big deal :)

haha probably a reflection on the amount of stuff u have to bs :p…i mean seriously! why do u have to write essays on a BIOLOGY exam haha…i swear i thought id get carpal tunnel from my AP lit las tweek :p

Wow, that AP lit essay about the wind interesting, they asked you to analyze the relationship between the character and the wind, but the passage only talked about the character in the last couple paragraphs…haha

I’m curious, at this point is there anything else we should be sending into admissions?

idn…i was talking to my harvard interviewer and some other ppl who know about harvard admissions and such and they said no …theyre like…ur app is good as it is…its just a matter of whether they will take u off the waitlist now so u shud just leave it…

i sent in a letter restating my interest in harvard and stuff, but nothing more.

How does this waitlist deliberation process work exactly? I mean, does your rep just take his/her region, find the best ones, and then defend your case to all the other reps in a big meeting room? Or do they all know everyone’s files? or does Fitz pick from a list of recs?

my regional rep is meeting with my area interviewing committee to draw a “short-list” of waitlisted candidates. I assume she will use that list when she’s back at Harvard

Good Luck, from the West Coast & although our hearts will jump out of our chests everytime the phone rings, dont get down if a call doesnt come tomorrow. we will probably be waiting until the end of may before all decisions are out. & after that the dreaded extended waitlist. Focus on your APs & good luck to everyone :)

I’ve been reading this thread for a while now. I really appreciate the information that you guys write. Seriously, we should feel honored for even being on the waitlist. Besides, Harvard has treated the waitlisted students with a lot of respect. For example, I was competing for a scholarship at a school in my state. That college sent me a rejection email on my birthday in the middle of my birthday dinner. On the other hand, Harvard’s regional representative took my phone call and even advised me on how to proceed while on the waitlist.
