Goodluck, lol its like <1% transfer acceptance :p

I don’t envy you.

Hey transferhope!

I’m on the same boat… fingers crossed!

@asganga: Are you in FL or NJ? Did you take the SAT (1720) or not? Is your college GPA a 2.9 or a 3.7? Who are you? ■■■■■? Likely

Does the cheating scandal affect how many transfer they will take?

Doubt it, they’ll be coming back in the fall. So shouldn’t affect transfer rates.

Any one hear back about interviews yet?
If the last few years are a guide the coming week will mean emails for some to interview which gives a good boost to our dismal chances. Could people who get interviews let the others know…thanks…

Checking in… Harvard would be an absolute dream of mine. Let’s hope this year they let a bunch of us in.

An interview would be great…

Hi everybody.I have to admit that I’ve lost all hopes for transfer to Harvard.12 people is really low number.I am at regular College now,will do my best here,go for my bachelor’s degree, and try for Harvard Graduate school.
By the way, does anybody know what kind of people are those 10-12 students that transfer to Harvard?What do they do or present to be accepted ?
But good luck to everybody who will try.
Erin

Are there any ppl who recieved an interview request?
I am getting nervous haha
I got deferred, waitlisted, and finally rejected in freshmen admissions last year.
Harvard is still my dream school:)

I just heard back about an interview. I’m doing it tomorrow. Will let you guys know how that goes.

Those that don’t get an interview shouldn’t worry. From the past few years, at least 70 percent of those accepted did not get interviews. The interview is generally for borderline cases. So its an indication that they are interested but not sure about you or want to verify information presented in the application. I didn’t mean to make anyone feel bad by posting my interview status. Just thought some might appreciate the update.

Middtransferout, thanks for your posting
Can I ask how was your interview? Where did you have it?

So the interview went well (I thought). We discussed my academic interests and why Harvard is a good fit for them. All in all, I’m sure the interview left me slightly better off. @Knight 92, Thank you for the message. Unfortunately I don’t have the required number of posts to respond via PM. I’m guessing they offer about 100 students an interview. The other thing I learned (from my interviewer) is that committee is meeting on April 23 to decide so I’d say we will hear back a little earlier this year. I’m still pretty sure I will not make it in so the sooner I can get it over with the better. All the best everyone!!

Thanks Midtransferout! I am a hopeful transfer (no interview). Does anyone know what the usual decision date is? I’ve read mid-May is typical. Any other information would be welcome.

Good luck everyone!

@CaliforniaWhim
I think it’s around May 11st or 12nd:)
I have my finals on both days…:’(

@Middtransferout

Where did you get the 100 number from?

Also, are you implying that the admissions committee usually meets in May (rather than late April)?

My understanding was that they meet later than the 23rd which is when they are meeting this year. The 100 is an estimate based on number of applications and number that they bring to committee. Again, the interview is a good sign in that they are interested but not getting one does not in any way mean that you won’t be accepted. Where else are you guys applying? I’m looking at Yale, Amherst, Dartmouth and Columbia. 4.0 out of Middlebury, International.

My list is almost same with yours, Middtransferout, only excluding Columbia.
I’m currently a freshman at Brown with unofficial gpa 4.0 (cuz Brown does not officially calculate gpa).
Oh I’m also an international student:)
