I sent my regional admissions officer my LOCI on April 5th and I still haven’t gotten an acknowledgement. Do they always send one? Should I be worried?
They’re probably busy with admitted students since the admitted students event was last weekend and is next weekend. Call them to see if they received the LOCI.
It’s hard to believe that the response or lack of one is meaningful. But I would definitely call to make sure that they received it. Why not?
Lol I got almost the same response:
“Thank you for reaching out to articulate your continued interest in UChicago! Congratulations, also, on your achievements! I have added this email to your application file so that we can be sure to take it into account as we review the waitlist. If you haven’t yet had the opportunity, I would recommend visiting our Uncommon Blog for our recommendations for waitlisted applicants. If there’s anything else I can help with, please don’t hesitate to let me know!”
@brightfuture8
We probably have the same admissions counselor!
I didn’t include any updates in my LOCI because I did so a little before admissions decisions came out. I’ll probably update soon, but I’m not sure I have anything considered major to update (most of it is just imporant to me but not a head turner).
i haven’t heard back from my admissions counselor yet, but my loci was pretty long : ///
i’m not too worried though–he took a while to get back to me last time i sent in an update
Was I the only one who kept my LOCI nice and brief like it said to on the school’s website?
My LOCI came to around 1 page on word…
well, my loci was a loci + an update so it was a bit long
Did anybody get contacted today?
So no one has been contacted today?
I doubt it. Probably tomorrow or Friday (or both).
That’s odd. I thought they contacted people on Wednesdays. What makes you guys think that they didn’t contact anyone today? Isn’t it more likely that they contacted people who aren’t on CC?
In past years, they seemed to stick to a certain schedule of contacting the waitlist. Typically it was the same day of the week that students received their admission decisions. However since the admissions cycle was a bit different this year, it’s very possible that they contact whenever they feel comfortable with the numbers they think they need.
UChicago lowkey ruined my life. To be so close yet so far from being accepted into such a prestigious school is depressing:/
Still no one?
Nothing here @Hizeus
Tomorrow maybe? Hopefully
Someone here got in yesterday
Based off the post itself, I can’t tell if that person was accepted off the waitlist or not. They only have 3 posts and 10 visits, so I can assume that A) they don’t visit the site much or B) they like lurking without signing in.
